Biggest NFL Week 4 Point Spread: Chargers vs Chiefs (-10.5)
The biggest spread of Week 4 is in Kansas City where the Chiefs are 10.5-point home favorites over the Los Angles Chargers. While the two-time defending Super Bowl-champion Chiefs are going to be sizable favorites against most teams, this massive spread – indeed the biggest of the 2024 NFL season to date – is largely motivated by injuries on the other side. LAC’s 20-10 Week 3 setback to the Steelers dealt the Chargers multiple blows.
Not only was it their first loss of the season, but starting QB Justin Herbert and star edge rusher Joey Bosa both left with injury. Herbert was seen in a walking boot after the game and this spread indicates he won’t be in the lineup in Week 4.
Joe Mixon last week.
Justin Herbert this week.I don’t understand why teams let these guys try to play through high ankle sprains. Risk of making it worse.
Looks like Herbert aggravated his left high ankle and limped off.

KC is 2-0 with a Sunday Night Football tilt against the Atlanta Falcons still to do in Week 3.
Highest NFL Week 4 Game Total: Seahawks vs Lions (48.5)
The highest total of Week 4, by two full points, is in the Monday Night Football game between the Seattle Seahawks and Detroit Lions, which has a total of 48.5.
Oddsmakers still see the Lions as a high-octane offense paired with a sub-par defense, but the early returns in 2024 show a different dynamic. After going an NFL-best 14-6 O/U last year, the Lions are just 1-2 O/U after three weeks in 2024. Detroit games have averaged just 38.3 PPG. But even with their offense starting slowly, the Lions remain the +1200 fourth-favorite in the Super Bowl odds.
The 3-0 Seahawks haven’t been averaging much more – 38.6 PPG – and that includes an OT field goal in their Week 2 win at New England.
Lowest Week 4 Game Total: Titans vs Dolphins (37.5)
At the opposite end of the spectrum is the Titans vs Dolphins battle, which will precede Seahawks vs Lions in another MNF doubleheader. The Titans/Phins game total is just 37.5.
With Skylar Thompson playing in place of injured starter Tua Tagovailoa, Miami’s offense was held to just a field goal in a 24-3 loss at Seattle in Week 3. The Titans were routed 30-14 at home by Green Bay with Will Levis tossing two interceptions including a killer pick-six.
Tennessee has yet to score more than 17 points this season while the Dolphins have only managed 13 in the last eight quarters.
