Another NFL Sunday is (almost) in the books, which means oddsmakers are looking ahead to next week. Week 2 was filled with upsets (underdogs had won straight-up in seven of 13 games decided by publication time) leading to some intriguing lines in the Week 3 NFL odds.
Week 3 starts with an all-AFC East Thursday night battle between the surprisingly-competitive New England Patriots (1-1) facing Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets (1-1) and culminates with a MNF doubleheader, featuring Jaguars (0-2) vs Bills (2-0), and Commanders (1-1) vs Bengals (0-1).
The table below lists the opening Week 3 NFL odds, including point spreads, moneylines, and game totals. The table will be updated with additional games as soon as they are posted.

Biggest NFL Week 3 Spread: Commanders vs Bengals (-7.5)
The biggest spread of Week 3 is the Cincinnati Bengals laying 7.5 at home against the Washington Commanders in the final game of the week on Monday night. The Bengals, who thoroughly disappointed in a Week 1 loss to the Patriots as 8.5-point favorites, put in a much better Week 2 performance. They were coming down to the wire on the road in KC, holding a two-point lead with less than a minute to play.
The Commanders managed to get past the uninspiring New York Giants in Week 2 to even their record at 1-1. Rookie QB Jayden Daniels was 23/29 for 198 yards, no TDs and no picks in his second career start against the Giants. In Week 1, Daniels and the Commanders were on the receiving end of a 37-20 setback on the road in Tampa Bay, getting out-gained 392-290.
Highest NFL Week 3 Over/Under: Lions vs Cardinals (51.5)
The biggest game total in Week 3 comes from the Lions vs Cardinals matchup in Arizona, which was been set at 51.5. It’s the only Week 3 total that has opened at 50 or higher. The Lions were over darlings last year, going 13-7 O/U, but have started 2024 with two straight unders.
The Cardinals on the other hand have hit the over twice, playing the Bills close in a 34-28 setback in Week 1 before demolishing the Rams 41-10 in Week 2.
Lowest NFL Week 3 Game Total: Chargers vs Steelers (37.5)
The lowest total in Week 3 is in the LA Chargers vs Pittsburgh Steelers matchup, where the over/under has been set at just 37.5 points. Pittsburgh is the main reason for the miniscule total. The Steelers pair an elite defense, which has surrendered just 16 points in a pair of victories over the Falcons (18-10) and Broncos (13-6), with an anemic offense that’s only managed one TD through eight quarters.
The Chargers defense has also looked solid through two weeks, though the quality of competition has been extremely low. LAC held the Raiders to just 10 points in Week 1 (26-10 win) and the abysmal Panthers to a field goal in Week 2 (26-3 win).
