In the three main in-state rivalries on the schedule this week, the “State” school is a sizable underdog in all three. Colorado State is a 7.5-point home underdog to the Buffs; Washington State is a 4.5-point road underdogs at the Huskies, and Oregon State is a massive 15.5-point home underdog to the Ducks.

The CFP national championship odds heading into Week 3 don’t feature any major changes. Texas (+800) moved up slightly after demolishing Michigan, 31-12, on the road in Ann Arbor. Georgia (+280) is still the favorite with Ohio State (+400) second.
Early Week 3 NCAAF Pick: Memphis Moneyline vs Florida State
- Week 3 Pick: Memphis moneyline (+142)
- Sascha Paruk’s 2024 NCAAF betting record: 6-1 (+4.29 units)
My favorite early line to target in the Week 3 college football odds is the Memphis Tigers (2-0, 0-0 away) to hand the reeling Florida State Seminoles (0-2, 0-1 home) a third straight setback to start the season.
Coming off a perfect regular season last year, FSU was expected to take a step back after losing starting QB Jordan Travis and a whole heap of production on the defensive side of the ball. But the results have been worse than even the most-pessimistic projections. New starter DJ Uiagalelei, who couldn’t hack it at either Clemson or Oregon State, is showing why he’s on his third team in three years.
The senior pivot has completed just 50% of his passes against the less-than-ferocious defenses of Georgia Tech (24-21 loss in Ireland) and Boston College (28-13 loss at home).
FSU was out-gained by a wide margin in both games. The results weren’t flukes. The Noles are not good.
Memphis has had two cupcake games against Troy (38-17 win at home as 18.5-point favorites) and FCS North Alabama (40-0 home win as 38.5-point favorites) but, unlike FSU, they’ve handled their business.
Coming off an impressive 10-3 season last year, including a 36-26 win over Iowa State in the Liberty Bowl, Memphis is in a much better position to sustain their success. They rank 26th out of 134 FBS teams in terms of returning production, including prolific senior QB Seth Henigan.
I love the Tigers to win straight-up on the road against a Florida State team that’s in complete disarray.

As we head into Week 3 of the college football season, there are several exciting matchups on the horizon that are sure to keep fans on the edge of their seats. With odds and spreads already being released for the opening games, it’s never too early to start making predictions on who will come out on top.
One of the most highly anticipated games of the week is the matchup between two powerhouse teams, Alabama and Florida. Both teams have started the season strong, with Alabama coming off a dominant win over Mercer and Florida defeating South Florida. The odds currently have Alabama as the favorite, with a spread of -7.5 points. However, Florida has shown they are a force to be reckoned with and could potentially pull off an upset in this game.
Another game to keep an eye on is the matchup between Ohio State and Tulsa. Ohio State has looked impressive in their first two games, while Tulsa has struggled early in the season. The odds heavily favor Ohio State in this matchup, with a spread of -21 points. It will be interesting to see if Tulsa can overcome the odds and put up a fight against the Buckeyes.
In addition to these marquee matchups, there are several other games in Week 3 that are worth keeping an eye on. Teams like Georgia, Clemson, and Oregon will all be looking to continue their winning streaks and solidify their spots in the rankings.
As we approach kickoff for these games, it’s important to remember that anything can happen in college football. Upsets are always a possibility, and teams can surprise us with their performance on any given day. So, while the odds and spreads may give us an idea of who the favorites are, it’s ultimately up to the players on the field to determine the outcome of each game.
Overall, Week 3 of college football is shaping up to be an exciting one, with plenty of intriguing matchups and potential upsets on the horizon. So grab your snacks, settle in on the couch, and get ready for another weekend of thrilling college football action.
