Biggest NFL Week 2 Point Spread: Ravens -8.5 vs Raiders
Only one point spread on the board in the Week 2 NFL odds is more than a touchdown, and that comes in the Las Vegas vs Baltimore matchup where the 0-1 Ravens are 8.5-point home favorites over the 0-1 Raiders. Baltimore went toe-to-toe with defending-champion Kansas City on TNF in Week 1 (meaning they’ll have extra time to prepare), coming out on the wrong end of a 27-20 scoreline.
The Raiders, meanwhile, were outclassed 22-10 on the road by the Chargers. New QB Gardner Minshew wasn’t terrible, going 25/33 for 257 yards, one TD, and one interception, but a -3 turnover margin spelled doom for the Silver and Black.
Vikings Big Underdogs to 49ers Despite Impressive Season-Opening Win
If you want proof that oddsmakers are taking the Week 1 results with a grain of salt, look no further than the San Francisco vs Minnesota matchup in the Twin Cities. The Vikings are coming off a resounding 28-6 win on the road against the New York Giants, a game they controlled from start to finish. Yet Minnesota has opened as nearly a touchdown underdog at home to the reigning NFC-champion 49ers.
New starter Sam Darnold was on point, going 19/24 for 208 yards and two touchdowns while spreading the ball around to one of the NFL’s best receiving corps. The Minnesota defense, meanwhile, held the Giants to just 240 total yards of 68 plays (3.5 yards per play) while also generating two interceptions.

San Francisco, which faces Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets on Monday Night Football tomorrow, will be on a short week.
Harbaugh’s Chargers 4.5-Point Road Favorites at Abysmal Panthers
After a horrendous 2-15 campaign last year, the Carolina Panthers picked up where they left off in Week 1 of 2024, getting embarrassed 47-10 by division-rival New Orleans. Carolina was down 17-0 by the end of the first quarter and trailed 30-0 late in the first half before finally getting on the board.
Sophomore QB Bryce Young showed no growth from his disastrous rookie season, going just 13/30 for 161 yards and two interceptions.
The Chargers, meanwhile, took care of business as 3.5-point home favorites against the Raiders, overcoming an early 7-3 deficit en route to a decisive 22-10 victory in the first game of the Jim Harbaugh era. Former Raven JK Dobbins was absolutely electric spelling Gus Edwards, rushing for 135 yards and a touchdown on just 10 carries, including this 61-yard scamper.

Dobbins went nearly 100 yards over his rushing-yard total of 36.5 in the Week 1 NFL props.
Despite Carolina’s brutal Week 1 showing and LAC’s relatively strong start under Harbaugh, the Chargers have opened Week 2 as relatively slim 4.5-point road favorites against the worst team in the league at the moment.
