Week 16 NFL Anytime Touchdown Scorer Bets: Predictions for Touchdown Props

  • Week 16 NFL TD props are now available for every game this week
  • I have taken a deep dive into the NFL touchdown odds and relevant TD stats for each player in Week 16
  • See the ten players I am betting to score a touchdown in Week 16 below

As the 2024-25 NFL regular season is starting to wind down, we find a couple/few games each week that are essentially meaningless outside of pride and draft position. So, while there are 16 games to be played in Week 16, there are a few I do not feel good about betting, especially when it comes to NFL TD props, which can be unpredictable enough when you have a good idea of what you’re going to get from each team. But I have still found ten players I like to score a touchdown in Week 16!

I went 3-4 on my TD picks last week, losing 0.52 units. The loss that really stung was David Montgomery, who was a full-unit bet and left Detroit’s game early, failing to score any of the Lions’ six touchdowns, while fellow RB Jahmyr Gibbs recorded two. Here’s to getting back on track with my NFL TD picks for Week 16!

Best NFL TD Scorer Picks for Week 16

Player Anytime TD Odds
Courtland Sutton +210 (bet365)
Xavier Worthy +260 (FanDuel)
Mark Andrews +225 (Caesars)
Ja’Marr Chase -125 (DraftKings)
Sam LaPorta +190 (FanDuel)
Saquon Barkley -150 (DraftKings)
Anthony Richardson +137 (bet365)
Josh Allen -110 (bet365)
Bucky Irving +101 (Caesars)
Tucker Kraft +220 (DraftKings)

I am betting ten players to score a touchdown in Week 16. Each of the above is a half-unit bet, except for Ja’Marr Chase and Saquon Barkley, who are each full-unit bets. However, if Chase’s odds are shorter than -140 when you read this, I would just make him a half-unit bet.

Courtland Sutton

Full transparency, I expect this TNF game to be a low-scoring affair between the Broncos and Chargers. These are two very good defenses and two average-at-best offenses. LA’s offense has been especially bad since losing JK Dobbins, only managing to score 17 points in each of their three games since his injury.

The Broncos offense has shown a little more promise, though you cannot buy into them being the 10th-best scoring offense, since their defense has scored a fair amount of their points. But I do have more faith in Denver’s offense than LA’s right now, and I’m looking to their most reliable contributor, Courtland Sutton.

Sutton has seen 113 targets this season, which is more than double Javonte Williams (53), who has the second-most targets on the team. The veteran wide receiver is even more dominant when it comes to Denver’s red zone targets. Sutton has 17 targets in the red zone, which is tied for 7th-best in the league, while the next-highest on the team is five.

Bo Nix’s favorite target has a touchdown in three of his last five games, and has totaled four touchdowns in that timeline. Whether the Broncos are winning or losing, Sutton is going to see the ball, and I like him to make good on those opportunities, just as he did in these two teams’ first meeting this season, where Sutton scored a touchdown.

  • Pick: Courtland Sutton Anytime TD (+210 at bet365)

Xavier Worthy

I bet Xavier Worthy to score a touchdown two weeks ago, and he did not, then passed on him last week, and he did score. But I’m putting my faith in him again in Week 16 when he takes on the Texans.

My reasoning here is basically the same as what I wrote two weeks ago – I believe the Chiefs realize they are going to need Worthy’s speed to take down the Bills, Ravens, and other top teams in the AFC. I’m not overly confident he will see another 11 targets, as he did last week, or match his three rushing attempts from last week. But I am confident the rookie will continue to be a priority in this Chiefs offense.

I especially like Worthy to score a TD this week because the Texans have been pretty good at stuffing the run in the red zone. They have only allowed seven rushing touchdowns this season, whereas they have surrendered 27 TDs through the air. When Andy Reid is forced to get creative to punch the ball into the endzone, I think Worthy will have his number called at least once.

  • Pick: Xavier Worthy Anytime TD (+260 at FanDuel)

Mark Andrews

Mark Andrews has not been as involved in the Ravens offense as he has in years past. However, he has been a very efficient red zone threat for them. Andrews has seen 11 red zone targets and turned those opportunities into eight touchdowns.

The tight end has a TD in each of his last three games, four of his last five, and seven of his last nine. Andrews was a little quiet in the first meeting between these two teams, only catching two of three targets for 22 yards. But I like him to be a little more involved this time around, and believe the Ravens offense will have more success than they did in the last game.

  • Pick: Mark Andrews Anytime TD (+225 at Caesars)

Ja’Marr Chase

Ja’Marr Chase has had an unbelievable season, leading the league in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns – he’s tied for the league-lead in total touchdowns.

Chase has seen double-digit targets in six of his last seven, where the outlier was a nine-target game, and has seen upwards of 18 targets in that window. The star WR has at least one touchdown in four of his last five, while scoring a total of eight TDs in those games.

His next opportunity to find the endzone comes against a Browns defense that’s allowing the seventh-most points in the NFL. I think this could be another multi-touchdown game for Chase.

This is a bad line hung by DraftKings, and I don’t suspect it to be available for very long. Some sportsbooks have him as short as -190, while most have him -145 or shorter. I put a full unit on Chase to score a TD at his -125 odds, but would take that down to a half-unit if you can’t get him at -140 odds or longer, and would not bet him at odds any shorter than -160.

  • Pick: Ja’Marr Chase Anytime TD (-125 at DraftKings)

Sam LaPorta

The loss of David Montgomery is going to be big for the Lions offense. The obvious beneficiary is Jahmyr Gibbs, who will likely now serve in more of a lead-back role rather than splitting touches. But I also like Sam LaPorta’s opportunities to continue to grow without Montgomery.

After a very slow start to the season, LaPorta has seen his targets tick up over the last five weeks. The second-year TE has seen at least six targets in each of his last five, which included a season-high ten last week. Part of that likely had to do with the Lions playing from behind for nearly the entire game, but part of that is him being a very valuable weapon for them.

Without Montgomery around, I think the Lions will use even more play-action and look to continue getting LaPorta the ball. Up against a Bears defense, who he scored two TDs against on Thanksgiving, that has allowed at least 30 points in three of their last four, I like LaPorta to score another touchdown.

  • Pick: Sam LaPorta Anytime TD (+185 at Caesars)

Saquon Barkley

Thanks to Jalen Hurts vulturing the Eagles’ goal line TDs over the last two weeks, leaving Saquon Barkley with no TDs in either of those games, DraftKings has set Barkley’s TD odds at -150 for Week 16. I see a lot of value in these odds.

Barkley is the focal point of this Philadelphia offense and has scored 13 touchdowns this season, which is just one behind Hurts. Prior to this current two-game TD drought, Barkley had at least one touchdown in three straight games and four of his previous five.

One of his best games of the season came against the same Commanders he will take on Sunday, when he totaled 198 yards from scrimmage and scored two touchdowns. That’s not overly surprising, as Washington ranks 28th in yards per carry allowed. I like Barkley to take advantage of their poor run defense again in Week 16 and get himself back into the endzone.

  • Pick: Saquon Barkley Anytime TD (-150 at DraftKings)

Anthony Richardson

Since being reinstated as the starting QB in Indianapolis, Anthony Richardson has scored at least one TD in three of four games, and has a total of four touchdowns in that time. He has been consistently carrying the ball, hitting double-digit rushing attempts in two of four, with a low of seven coming last week.

Jonathan Taylor has remained the focal point of the running game, but Richardson has significantly eaten into his goal line work. In their last four games, Taylor only has three rushing attempts from inside the five-yard-line (for -2 yards and zero TDs), while Richardson has four carries inside the five and has scored on three of those attempts.

I like Richardson to continue serving as the hammer down at the goal line in Week 16 when the Colts take on a Titans defense that has allowed the fourth-most points in the NFL.

  • Pick: Anthony Richardson Anytime TD (+137 at bet365)

Josh Allen

Josh Allen has been on a touchdown tear lately, which has been a major factor in him becoming such a heavy NFL MVP favorite. Allen has a touchdown in each of his last five and eight total TDs in that time.

I’m not sure if Buffalo has lost some faith in James Cook down at the goal line, or just prefer to keep the ball in Allen’s hands all of a sudden. But Cook. has only seen four carries inside the five-yard-line since Week 10, while Allen has carried the ball seven times inside the five.

In a Week 16 matchup with the Patriots, who rank 23rd in points allowed, I like Allen to keep his hot streak alive and score another touchdown.

  • Pick: Josh Allen Anytime TD (-110 at bet365)

Bucky Irving

When Bucky Irving is healthy, this Buccaneers offense might be one of the league’s best. Irving took 17 touches for 113 yards from scrimmage against a good Chargers defense last week, helping set his team up to score 40 points. Though, the rookie did not find the endzone himself.

But that’s not usual for Irving, who has scored a touchdown in six of 14 games. While that doesn’t seem all that impressive, you have to remember it took him a bit to get comfortable in the NFL. Irving only scored a TD in one of his first five games. He also wasn’t consistently receiving a ton of opportunity in the offense until Week 10, only surpassing 12 touches in one of his first seven games. One other note is that he left the Bucs’ Week 14 game against the Raiders early with an injury, and that is one of the games he did not score in.

Irving gets the Cowboys in Week 16, who are allowing the fourth-most rushing yards per carry, and have given up more TDs on the ground than any other team. I do appreciate that they have played RBs better the last two weeks, but I think that’s more about the offenses they were playing – the Bengals are a pass-heavy team and the Panthers stink.

  • Pick: Bucky Irving Anytime TD (+101 at Caesars)

Tucker Kraft

While I do strongly believe Josh Jacobs is going to score a touchdown on MNF, his odds are just too short and lack value as a result, in my opinion. So, I’m going in a different direction for this one. I’m going to take the Packer who is tied for the second-most TDs on the team with seven: Tucker Kraft.

Kraft has a touchdown in six of 14 games this season, which includes two of his last four. What I really like about Kraft is that the Packers like throwing him the ball in the red zone. The tight end leads the team with 24.6% of their red zone targets – Dontayvion Wicks is the next-highest at 16.4% – and is even second on the team in red zone looks, behind only Jacobs.

The Saints have not given up many touchdowns through the air this season (14), but I think will have to sellout to stop the run in this one, as they give up the third-most yards per rushing attempt, allowing Green Bay to get Kraft open off play-action in the red zone.

  • Pick: Tucker Kraft Anytime TD (+220 at DraftKings)

As we head into Week 16 of the NFL season, one popular betting option that many fans are turning to is anytime touchdown scorer bets. These prop bets allow bettors to wager on which player will score a touchdown at any point during the game, regardless of when it happens.

When looking at the matchups for Week 16, there are several players who stand out as strong candidates to find the end zone. Let’s take a look at some predictions for touchdown props in this week’s games.

In the Thursday night matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and the Tennessee Titans, one player to keep an eye on is 49ers running back Elijah Mitchell. Mitchell has been a consistent threat in the red zone this season and could easily find the end zone against a struggling Titans defense.

In the Saturday night game between the Indianapolis Colts and the Arizona Cardinals, Colts running back Jonathan Taylor is a player to watch. Taylor has been one of the most dominant running backs in the league this season and is always a threat to score multiple touchdowns in any game.

On Sunday, the New England Patriots take on the Buffalo Bills in a crucial AFC East showdown. Patriots tight end Hunter Henry has been a favorite target of quarterback Mac Jones in the red zone and could be a solid bet to score a touchdown in this game.

In the Sunday night matchup between the Washington Football Team and the Dallas Cowboys, Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb is a player to watch. Lamb has been a big-play threat all season and could easily find the end zone against a Washington defense that has struggled at times this year.

Overall, when placing anytime touchdown scorer bets for Week 16, it’s important to consider each player’s recent performance, their matchup, and their role in their team’s offense. By doing your research and making informed decisions, you can increase your chances of cashing in on these exciting prop bets. Good luck!
