Saturday Games Unlikely to Be Impacted by Weather
The three Saturday games aren’t likely to be impacted much by the weather. The late game between the Cardinals and Rams is undercover at SoFi Stadium. The forecast in Cincinnati for Broncos vs Bengals calls for 60° temperatures, a slim 30% chance of rain, and modest 8-10 mph winds.
The only Saturday game where weather could be a significant factor is Chargers vs Patriots in Foxborough, MA. The temperature is expected to be just 40°, the coldest of the week, which could be uncomfortable for the warm-weather Chargers. There’s also a 50% chance of rain, which will make gripping the ball all the more difficult in the almost-freezing temperatures.
The Chargers vs Patriots odds list the game total at 43.5. The Chargers have been one of the best under bets in the NFL all year (6-9 O/U) though the Pats are 9-6 to the over. Even if the weather were perfect, I would be targeting the under. LAC’s offense scored 34 points last time out against Denver, but
Wind Could Wreak Havoc in DC, Cleveland
The temperatures across the country are unseasonably warm for the middle of winter. Even Orchard Park in Buffalo is expected to be about 54° by kickoff on Sunday afternoon. The most-impactful weather in the forecast may be the wind in the Falcons/Commanders game in the nation’s capital, and the Dolphins/Browns matchup in Cleveland. The Week 17 NFL odds show the Falcons/Commanders game total as high as 47.0, while the Dolphins/Browns total is as high as 44.5.
Michael Penix Jr will be making just his second career start for Atlanta, and first against a half-decent opponent after going 18-of-27 for 202 yard, no touchdowns, and one interception against the Giants in Week 16.

As we head into Week 17 of the NFL season, weather conditions can play a significant role in determining the outcome of games. With several key matchups on the schedule, it’s important to take a look at the weather forecasts for each game to see which ones have the best total scores to target.
One game that stands out in terms of weather conditions is the matchup between the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions. The game is set to take place at Lambeau Field, where temperatures are expected to be in the low 30s with a chance of snow showers. These conditions could favor a high-scoring game, as the cold weather may impact the defenses’ ability to stop the offenses.
Another game to keep an eye on is the showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Denver Broncos. The game is set to take place at Mile High Stadium, where temperatures are expected to be in the mid-20s with a chance of snow. These conditions could also lead to a high-scoring affair, as the cold weather may impact both teams’ passing games.
On the other hand, games like the matchup between the Miami Dolphins and the New England Patriots, which is set to take place in Foxborough, Massachusetts, could see lower total scores due to the cold weather and potential snow showers. The game is expected to have temperatures in the low 20s with a chance of snow, which could impact both teams’ ability to move the ball effectively.
Overall, when looking at weather forecasts for NFL Week 17, it’s important to consider how the conditions could impact each game and which ones have the best total scores to target. Games like the Packers vs. Lions and Chiefs vs. Broncos could see higher scoring affairs due to cold weather and potential snow showers, while games like Dolphins vs. Patriots may see lower total scores. Keep an eye on the weather forecasts leading up to game day to make informed decisions when setting your fantasy lineups or placing bets on the games.
