The Baltimore Ravens visit the Kansas City Chiefs in the first game of the 2024 NFL season tonight on Thursday Night Football at Arrowhead Stadium (8:20 pm ET).
With Baltimore running back Derrick Henry suiting up for his first NFL game not wearing the jersey of the Tennessee Titans, all eyes will be on the former 2,000-yard rusher, and Henry plays a prominent role in tonight’s Ravens vs Chiefs same-game parlay, which has three legs and comes out to a massive +651 potential payout.
Ravens vs Chiefs Same-Game Parlay
Pick | Odds |
---|---|
Derrick Henry anytime TD | -125 |
Isiah Pacheco anytime TD | +110 |
Patrick Mahomes under 269.5 passing yards | -110 |
TOTAL BAL vs KC SGP ODDS | +651 |
My favorite same-game parlay for Ravens vs Chiefs starts with both starting RBs finding the end zone, and culminates with the under on Patrick Mahomes’ passing yards in a game I expect to be run-heavy on both sides. The total odds for this NFL same game parlay comes out to +651, meaning a $100 wager would profit $651 if all three legs hit.

Ravens vs Chiefs SGP Pick #1: Derrick Henry Anytime Touchdown Scorer
The first pick on today’s card is Henry to find the end zone in his first game with the Ravens. Henry has scored double-digit touchdowns each of the last six seasons, including 12 last year running behind one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL in Tennessee.
Lamar Jackson was asked to do too much in Baltimore’s 17-10 loss to KC in last year’s AFC Championship Game. He was just 20 of 37 passing (54%) with one TD, one costly interception, and four sacks. Former starting RB Gus Edwards carried the ball just three times for 20 yards. KC was among the best teams in the league in keeping opposing run games out of the end zone in 2023 (allowing just 10 in 17 games) but, overall, their rush defense was middle of the road.
Baltimore didn’t acquire Henry as a decoy. Expect a heavy dosage for the Alabama product and at least one TD.
Ravens vs Chiefs Same-Game Parlay Pick #2: Isiah Pacheco Anytime TD Scorer
The Chiefs fed their bell-cow, Pacheco, a heavy load in last year’s AFC title game. Pacheco rushed the ball 24 for 68 yards, including one touchdown. In the 2023 regular season, he racked up nine TDs in just 14 games. And he figures to be an even bigger part of the offense in his third season.

With Baltimore’s rush defense being among the best in the league last year, I was initially shying away from Pacheco as a TD scorer, but the absence of newly-acquired Marquise Brown (shoulder injury) on the outside means Patrick Mahomes is still working with a sub-par receiver group. In addition to leading the run game, Pacheco is likely going to be a not-insignificant part of the KC passing attack as well.
He only had two TDs through the air last year but the pass-catching portion of his game took a big step up (130 receiving yards in 17 games as a rookie versus 244 in 14 games last season). I already predicted a relatively high-scoring game in my Ravens vs Chiefs picks article and I’m not backing off that script. Pacheco will factor into the scoring at some point.
Ravens vs Chiefs SGP Pick #3: Patrick Mahomes Under 269.5 Passing Yards
The final play in this Baltimore vs Kansas City same-game parlay is Mahomes to stay under 269.5 passing yards. As already mentioned, KC’s prize offseason acquisition, “Hollywood” Brown, is out with a shoulder injury. Mahomes still has G.O.A.T. tight end Travis Kelce to throw to downfield along with promising rookie Xavier Worthy. On the whole, though, I don’t foresee a prolific game from the two-time NFL MVP.
Mahomes was held to just 241 yards on 39 pass attempts in the AFC title game, the only time in the last two years he’s faced the Ravens. And the Baltimore pass defense ranked sixth in the league last season in total yards allowed (191.9 YPG) despite opponents playing from behind more often than not.
My colleague explained in the Ravens vs Chiefs player props why Mahomes is likely to hit the over on some of his rushing props, which fits hand-in-glove with the under on his passing yards.

The highly anticipated matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday Night Football in Week 1 is sure to be a thrilling game for football fans. With two of the top teams in the league facing off, there are plenty of opportunities for bettors to cash in on some exciting same-game parlays.
One top same-game parlay to consider for this matchup is a combination of player props and the over/under. Here’s a breakdown of a potential parlay:
1. Lamar Jackson Over 50.5 rushing yards: Lamar Jackson is known for his dual-threat ability as a quarterback, and he often racks up yards on the ground. Against a tough Chiefs defense, Jackson may look to use his legs to make plays and surpass the 50.5 rushing yard mark.
2. Patrick Mahomes Over 300.5 passing yards: Patrick Mahomes is one of the top quarterbacks in the league and has the ability to put up big numbers through the air. Against a talented Ravens defense, Mahomes may need to air it out to keep pace with Baltimore’s offense.
3. Total points over 54.5: Both the Ravens and Chiefs have high-powered offenses that can put up points in a hurry. With two dynamic quarterbacks leading their respective teams, this game has the potential to be a high-scoring affair, making the over a solid bet.
By combining these player props and the over/under, bettors can create an exciting same-game parlay that adds even more excitement to an already thrilling matchup between two of the top teams in the league. As always, it’s important to do your research and consider all factors before placing your bets, but this parlay could be a profitable option for Thursday Night Football in Week 1.
