- The last game of Week 15 will be between the Atlanta Falcons vs Las Vegas Raiders on Monday Night Football
- Like any responsible gambler, we have to get down on this thing since it’s the last game of the week
- Find two of my favorite Falcons vs Raiders player props to bet for this MNF matchup on Dec. 16
It’s time people. We’re starring down the barrel of a two-game Monday Night Football slate and I’m ready to get loose. The one that we’re going to focus on in this article is the matchup between the Atlanta Falcons and Las Vegas Raiders. That’s right, we’re going to Vegas baby! Here’s the thing though, this is a business trip. It’s actually better like that since it’s virtual. But while the trip is fake, the money we make is as real as can be. I went over this game in my sleep last night so I know how to attack it. If you’re in an absolutely, positively must-win situation, keep reading. Even if you aren’t, I’d keep reading. We all need winners. Even the people who don’t need them.

Michael Mayer Is Back
I remember when this kid came out of college. He was the tight end from Notre Dame that was a legit man amongst boys. The guy could catch everything and nobody could tackle him. We’re talking can’t miss type guy.
Ask any dynasty fantasy football player, they still remember this guy.
Michael Mayer is a starting NFL TE.
One of the most collegiately-productive TE’s ever (35.8% Dominator Rating).
Highly-graded prospect (6.44 https://t.co/UdJYSOAUrE Grade).
Top-35 overall NFL Draft pick (2.04).
He will never be cheaper in dynasty than he is now. pic.twitter.com/TrUVGXNium

The reason people have to be reminded how good Mayer was is because the Raiders drafted Brock Bowers in the very next draft. Bowers plays the same position (tight end) and is basically a better version of Mayer. That has to suck for Mayer. Imagine having to go to work every day and seeing a better version of yourself there. Weird.
But here’s the thing, everyone sort of wrote Mayer off earlier this season but he’s back now. The Raiders appear to want to use more two tight end sets now because Mayer was on the field for 81% of the snaps last week. Instead of working against Bowers, he’s working with him. This has a Disney movie sort of feel to it.
It gets better though. Mayer wasn’t out there running cardio last week. He was being targeted like he actually played for the team. We’re talking nine targets that he turned into a 7-68 line. I don’t think he matches that production tonight, but I think he could easily go for 20+ receiving yards. Feels right.

This Is Desmond Ridder’s Moment
Imagine your job recruiting you, telling you that you’re “the guy”, and then shortly thereafter saying, “You’re not the guy, go find another job, bum.” That’s basically what happened to Desmond Ridder in Atlanta. I may have added the “bum” part, but I think it adds to the story a little.
No matter what I add, nothing adds more to the story than the fact that Ridder gets to face the people who called him a bum tonight.
Raiders QB Desmond Ridder is expected to start tonight vs. the Falcons, per sources. Raiders QB Aidan O’Connell is listed as questionable and is expected to work out pregame to see if he can play, but Ridder is expected to start for now.

This is a dream for anyone who has ever been told, “We don’t want you anymore”. It hurts. Even if it was definitely Ridder’s fault the Falcons wanted to move on. The guy was bad. Like real bad.
But all that is behind Desmond now. When you think about it, he wasn’t even ready to be a starting NFL quarterback yet. The Falcons basically made him do it knowing he wasn’t ready and then blamed him for stinking. Not cool.
Desmond is going to get his chance at revenge tonight and I think he gets loose. We all saw him come in last week and kind of look good. He wasn’t great but he wasn’t “Atlanta Desmond bad” either. My guess is he has the game of his life tonight against a team that has given up the second-most touchdown passes this season. Feels right.

As the Atlanta Falcons prepare to take on the Las Vegas Raiders in Monday Night Football, there are several player prop bets that stand out as potentially lucrative options for bettors looking to cash in on the action.
One player to keep an eye on is Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan. Ryan has been playing well this season, throwing for over 2,700 yards and 15 touchdowns. Against a Raiders defense that has struggled at times this season, Ryan could have a big game. One prop bet to consider is Ryan throwing for over 300 yards, which he has done in five out of nine games this season.
Another player to watch is Raiders running back Josh Jacobs. Jacobs has been a workhorse for the Raiders this season, rushing for over 700 yards and seven touchdowns. Against a Falcons defense that ranks near the bottom of the league in rushing yards allowed per game, Jacobs could have a big game on the ground. One prop bet to consider is Jacobs rushing for over 100 yards, which he has done in four out of nine games this season.
On the defensive side of the ball, Falcons linebacker Deion Jones could be a player to watch. Jones leads the team in tackles and interceptions this season, and against a Raiders offense that has been turnover-prone at times, Jones could have a big game. One prop bet to consider is Jones recording an interception, which he has done in three out of nine games this season.
Overall, there are several player prop bets to consider for Monday Night Football between the Falcons and Raiders. Whether it’s betting on Matt Ryan throwing for over 300 yards, Josh Jacobs rushing for over 100 yards, or Deion Jones recording an interception, there are plenty of opportunities for bettors to cash in on the action.
