  • Below, see my Washington State vs San Francisco predictions and best bets, plus the odds for the WCC semi

The San Francisco Dons (23-8, 13-5 WCC, 15-14-1 ATS) and Washington State Cougars (19-13, 8-10 WCC, 16-16 ATS) meet at Orleans Arena in Paradise, NV, on Sunday night (8:00 pm PT/11:00 pm ET) in the last quarterfinal of the 2025 WCC Tournament. The winner will earn the right to face Gonzaga in Monday’s semifinal. The teams split their regular-season meetings, each holding serve at home, though it’s the Dons who are set as sizable favorites in tonight’s Washington State vs San Francisco odds. The table at the bottom of the page shows where to find the best spread, moneyline, and total for the game, but most sportsbooks have set the number at San Francisco -4.5.

Washington State vs San Francisco Prediction

In WCC play, San Francisco went 12-3 against all teams other than Saint Mary’s and Gonzaga (whom they went just 1-3 against) and wound up third in the conference, just a game back of the Zags. While one of their conference setbacks came at Wazzu (91-82) in early January, they answered with a 75-51 beatdown of the Cougars on Feb. 1.

That loss for Washington State came amid a string of eight setbacks in nine games for the Cougars late in the season. They picked up wins against San Diego (93-86 home) and Pepperdine (90-83 away) but those are the easiest opponents the WCC has to offer this season.

Indeed, since Washington State’s home win over San Francisco on Jan. 4, the Cougars haven’t beaten a team rated higher than 154 at KenPom, going 0-8 against top-100 competition. Their best win in that stretch came last night against #154 Loyola Marymount (94-77)

San Francisco finished the year with seven wins in its last nine games, four by double digits, and managed to hand Saint Mary’s its only loss in conference play (65-64 home) on Feb. 6. Their only setbacks since Jan. 23 came against Gonzaga (88-77 away, 95-75 home).

In other words, this is a matchup between teams trending in opposite directions, despite WSU winning three straight. The Cougars have shown time and time against this season that they can’t hang with the cream of the WCC, and that’s exactly what they’ll be facing tonight.

San Francisco vs Washington State Picks

  • San Francisco -2.5 (-160) at DraftKings

Sascha Paruk’s 2024-25 NCAAM betting record: 31-22 (+6.07 units). All wagers 1 unit unless expressly stated otherwise.

My best bet for tonight’s WCC quarterfinal is San Francisco to cover the alternate spread of -2.5. The Dons . San Francisco 6’5 senior guard Malik Thomas (19.1 PPG, 3.4 RPG, 2.0 APG) and (15.1 PPG, 3.6 RPG, 4.3 APG) will be the only players on the floor tonight who were First-Team All-WCC selections.

The Cougars didn’t even have a player on the second team.

The Dons are more talented at the top end of the roster and don’t lack for depth, either. Ten different players averaged at least ten minutes of action per game, and six averaged at least 7.7 PPG. They cruised past the Cougars last time they met without Malik Thomas and I can’t see the result being different this time around with Thomas on the floor.

Best Washington State vs San Francisco Odds

The WSU vs SF odds show a one-point range in the spread as of 1:30 pm ET. The lowest number is San Francisco -4.5 (-110) at DraftKings, while the highest number is Washington State +5.5 (-118) at Caesars. Those sites also have the best moneyline prices for the respective teams: the Cougars are +185 to win straight-up at Caesars (and bet365, as well) while the Dons are -205 to win straight-up at DraftKings. No other site has San Francisco longer than -210 and most have the Dons at -225.

There is also a one-point range in the game total. DraftKings is on the low end at 148.5 with -110 odds both ways, making it the best option for over bettors at the moment. FanDuel is on the high end at 149.5 with -112 juice on the under, making it the best choice for under bettors currently.

The Washington State Cougars and the San Francisco Dons are set to face off in the West Coast Conference (WCC) Tournament, and fans are eagerly anticipating what promises to be an exciting matchup. Both teams have had strong seasons so far, and this game is sure to be a close one.

The Cougars come into this game as the higher seed, finishing the regular season with a record of 19-12. Led by star player Isaac Bonton, who averages 17.7 points per game, Washington State has shown that they have the talent and skill to compete with some of the best teams in the country. They will be looking to carry that momentum into the tournament and make a deep run.

On the other side, the Dons finished the regular season with a record of 19-10 and have proven themselves to be a tough opponent for any team. Led by guard Khalil Shabazz, who averages 15.5 points per game, San Francisco has shown that they have the ability to score in bunches and play solid defense when needed. They will be looking to pull off the upset and advance in the tournament.

In terms of predictions and picks for this game, it’s shaping up to be a close one. Both teams are evenly matched and have the talent to come out on top. However, Washington State may have a slight edge due to their higher seed and strong play throughout the season. Look for Bonton to have a big game and lead the Cougars to a narrow victory.

As for the odds, Washington State is currently listed as a slight favorite, with odds of -2.5. This means that they are expected to win by a small margin, but anything can happen in college basketball, especially during tournament time. San Francisco will be looking to prove the oddsmakers wrong and pull off the upset.

Overall, this game is sure to be a thrilling one for fans of both teams. With so much on the line in terms of tournament seeding and bragging rights, expect both teams to leave it all on the court in what promises to be a memorable matchup. Stay tuned for what is sure to be an exciting game between Washington State and San Francisco in the WCC Tournament.
