NASCAR Pennzoil 400 Predictions

Once again, the weather will not be an issue on Sunday afternoon. There will be some breezy conditions at times, with temperatures close to 75 degrees. Again, avoiding the windy conditions on Monday was definitely the luck of the Irish. The same cannot be said for every driver in this week’s field. Unfortunately, some bad luck really came some drivers’ way.

Qualifying tossed in several curves and a few bad ones. Ryan Blaney and Christopher Bell start from the rear end of the field. Blaney had a disaster qualifying, including a blown tire. So, what happened to Christopher Bell?

Simply, a mechanical issue caused a repair that meant heading to the back of the field. That will make Bell’s quest for four wins in a row daunting to say the least.

Chevy won again last year as Hendrick Motors found a way to get a fourth straight Spring win. Kyle Larson has won twice, with William Byron and Alex Bowman each winning once. Chase Elliott may not contend here, but Tyler Reddick might. He was last seen getting great odds to finish as the top Toyota. Do not let Denny Hamlin’s luck at casinos fool you; he is unlikely to contend compared to Reddick.

Now, do any of the top Ford cars have a chance? Ford qualified 1-2-3. Guys like Michael McDowell, Joey Logano, and Austin Cindric are not surprises here. However, Kyle Busch ended up fourth and has a chance on Sunday. He does not have a ton of laps lead at Las Vegas, but all it takes is one. Busch knows these cars and knows this sport.

Again, for those wondering if there is a time, this may be it for Busch. Kyle Busch at +1400 via BetMGM is worth a look. Do not forget that the Top 3, Top 5, and specials will be on sites by early in the morning. It’s time to head for the mountains of Busch for the win.

Top Pennzoil 400 Long Picks

Yes, this week allows us to take some different looks err shots when it comes to the Pennzoil 400. With drivers like Bell and Blaney fighting just to get to the front, that leaves what is left. Can any of the three Ford cars in the top three qualifying spots win on Sunday? The answer is likely no. Instead, our focus may just be on value longshots who have shown potential.

Always spread your bets around. Look for some specials that will often come out on race morning, like we mentioned above. Again, besides the usual favorites, there are always one or two guys that can come out of nowhere. Could it be Ryan Preece? Preece likes this track and does start 12th (+12000 via DraftKings). Chris Buescher (+2800 via DraftKings is again an option. Buescher will be plus money to finish in the Top 10.

Again, keep an eye out for those specials and props.

How about one more crazy bold shot? Erik Jones qualified 5th and is +10000. I can think of worse things to put my money on. Good luck this Sunday, and we will be right there with those engines revved and hoping for some good fortune.

However, there are a few top contenders who are currently leading the pack in terms of odds and predictions.

One of the top favorites to win the Pennzoil 400 is Kyle Larson. Larson has been on fire this season, already securing multiple wins and showing incredible speed on the track. With his experience and skill behind the wheel, Hamlin is definitely a strong contender for the win.

In terms of longshots, one driver to watch is Tyler Reddick. While Reddick may not have the same level of experience as some of the other drivers in the field, he has shown flashes of brilliance this season and has the potential to surprise everyone with a strong performance at the Pennzoil 400.

As for the odds, Larson currently has the best odds to win the race, with Hamlin not far behind. However, as we all know, anything can happen in NASCAR, and there are always surprises in store when it comes to racing.
