  • The Los Angeles Dodgers look to win the series over the Texas Rangers Wednesday evening at 10:10 p.m. from Dodgers Stadium.
  • The Rangers, the defending World Champions, are below .500 to start the season and fell to the top-seed in the NL West 15-2 Tuesday night in Game 1.

The Los Angeles Dodgers host the Texas Rangers Wednesday night for the 2nd game of a best-of-3 series at 10:10 p.m. ET. Los Angeles won a blowout Tuesday night, 15-2 behind a 4-home run 6th inning. On the mound, James Paxton allowed just a pair of hits through 6 innings.

The Rangers (31-35, 13-18 away) are among the most average teams in the league a year after winning the World Series, but sit at 2nd in the AL West despite a losing record. The Dodgers are anything but average and sit in the top 5 in hits, batting average, team ERA, strikeouts, wins, home runs and many, many other categories.

Rangers vs. Dodgers Odds

Team Runline Moneyline Total
Texas Rangers +1.5 (-130) +158 O 8.5 (-110)
Los Angeles Dodgers -1.5 (+110) -190 U 8.5 (-110)

The Dodgers, as you can imagine, are heft favorites to take home a win tonight, sitting at -190 ML compared to Rangers +158 ML. The odds are slightly in Texas’ favor to keep the game within a run, +1.5 (-130).

The Dodgers are 21-11 as the home favorite this season but only a narrow 33-31 against the runline as favorites. Texas, meanwhile, is 8-12 as the away underdog and 9-11 against the runline as the away underdog.

The Over/Under for this matchup has been set at 8.5 according to Caesars, both with odds sitting at -110. Both teams are more prone to the over according to recent history, with Los Angeles being 19-12 against the over as the home favorite and Texas sitting at 10-9 ATO as the away underdog.

Dodgers vs. Rangers Best Value Player Props (June 12)

Player Props (Los Angeles vs. Texas) Odds
Jon Gray Over 3.5 Ks -145
Mookie Betts over 1.5 Total Bases +105
Adolis Garcia over 1.5 strikeouts +145

All odds above via DraftKings Sportsbook.

It’s true that Gray has struggled against some top hitting lineups as of late, but he still earned more than this total against the Phillies and Giants in recent outings. Not to mention, he has significant experience against several Dodgers batters and has performed well against Betts and Ohtani throughout his career. In 15 at-bats against Freddie Freeman, he’s struck him out 9 times.

This is excellent value for one of the best hitters in baseball fresh off a strong outing with a double Tuesday night.

Garcia has never recorded a hit against Buehler, who is starting for the Dodgers tonight. He’s averaging over a strikeout per game this season and faces a Dodgers bullpen that’s among the best in the league. All in all, this is tremendous value.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Texas Rangers Prediction (June 12)

I can say with all confidence that this game should be a closer affair than Game 1 where the Dodgers downed Texas 15-2.

Dodgers -190 is simply too much risk for me, but with Gray unlikely to pitch more than 4 or 5 innings and the Rangers bullpen having been through the wringer that was last night, Dodgers -1.5 is a strong play at +110.

The trends are in favor of the over hitting with relative ease, with the firepower Los Angeles has and their performance at home this season, we’ll take that pick as well. Los Angeles is one of the top scoring teams in the league for a reason and could very well eat most of this total themselves.

LAD vs. TEX pick: LAD -1.5 (+110), Over 8.5 (-110)

The Texas Rangers are set to face off against the LA Dodgers on June 12, and there are several predictions, odds, and props that bettors may want to target for this matchup.

First and foremost, the odds for this game are likely to heavily favor the Dodgers. The Dodgers have been one of the best teams in baseball this season, boasting a potent lineup and a strong pitching staff. On the other hand, the Rangers have struggled this season and are currently sitting near the bottom of the standings.

As a result, betting on the Dodgers to win outright may not offer much value. However, there are several other bets that bettors may want to consider. One prop bet that could be worth targeting is the over/under on total runs scored in the game. Both teams have shown the ability to score runs this season, so taking the over on this bet could be a smart play.

Another prop bet to consider is the first team to score. The Dodgers have been known to jump out to early leads in games, so betting on them to score first could be a good bet. Additionally, betting on the Dodgers to win by a certain margin of victory could also be worth considering.

Overall, while the odds may heavily favor the Dodgers in this matchup, there are still plenty of prop bets and predictions that bettors can target to potentially make some money on the game. As always, it’s important to do your research and consider all factors before placing any bets.
