Predictions and Picks for MLB Home Runs on Dinger Tuesday (April 29)
  • The best day of the week to bet on home run props is back
  • Multiple sportsbooks are offering promotions for “to hit a home run” markets in the MLB today
  • See below for my favorite home run picks on Tuesday, April 29, and how I am utilizing these boosts

There are 15 MLB games today, which means all 30 teams are in action. Every player is available when looking at home run props on Tuesday, so who are the best options?

First, we want to get the most bang for our buck. Luckily, sportsbooks are offering great promotions for players to hit home runs today. It is Dinger Tuesday at FanDuel, so all users can opt in and get a 50% profit boost for any player to go yard tonight. DraftKings is offering a no-sweat home run bet, so even if the player you choose to hit a home run does not, users get a bonus bet back after opting in.

Keep reading for my best home run picks on Dinger Tuesday and see how I am using these home run bonuses.

Dinger Tuesday Pick #1: Jose Ramirez (+675 at FanDuel with 50% Boost)

Jose Ramirez is one of the most underrated stars in the MLB today. He has five home runs on the year already, and today is another great opportunity for Ramirez to hit one over the fence. The Guardians are facing Chris Paddack and the Twins.

Paddack has a 6.45 ERA this year, and that gets even worse away from home, where he has a 10.80 ERA. He has allowed five home runs in 2025 and has a 2.04 HR/9. Batters have been feasting on Paddack this year, and I predict that Jose Ramirez will get in on the action tonight. Ramirez is a switch-hitter, so he can hit left-handed and make this an even better matchup against Paddack, who has a career 2.16 HR/9 vs lefties. Paddack has allowed a home run in each of his last two starts, and four of the five he’s given up this year have come on the road.

Ramirez is +450 to hit a home run tonight at FanDuel, but with the Dinger Tuesday 50% boost, he is +675. That is tremendous value for one of the most underrated power hitters in the league going against Chris Paddack.

Home Run Pick #2: Nick Castellanos (+480 at FanDuel)

My next home run pick today is Nick Castellanos vs Mackenzie Gore. Castellanos is a known home run hitter, and now he is facing a pitcher that he has seen a lot of success against.

Nick Castellanos vs Mackenzie Gore

Castellanos has already gone yard twice vs Gore, and I believe he can do it again tonight. He is much better against lefties and is slugging .645 against them this season, so while he only has three home runs on the year, Castellanos can get back on track tonight. He is seeing the ball well and has a hit in each of his last four games.

Gore has had a great season, but he has not been as strong on the road. He has a 4.76 ERA away from Nationals Park, and two of the three home runs he has allowed this year have come on the road. Take Catellanos to hit one over the fence at +480 odds tonight.

Home Run Pick #3: Gavin Lux (+700 at DraftKings)

My longshot home run pick tonight is Gavin Lux at +700 odds. This is the perfect opportunity to use the no-sweat home run bet at DraftKings. Even if Lux does not hit a home run vs the Cardinals, we can get a bonus bet back. But let’s not focus on that. Let’s talk about why Lux will hit his second home run of the year tonight.

He is at home at Great American Ballpark, which is one of the most hitter-friendly stadiums in the league, and winds are supposed to be blowing out in Cincinnati tonight. Miles Mikolas is on the mound for the Cardinals, who has been serving up meatballs to batters all season. He surprisingly has not given a home run yet in 2025, but that will likely change sooner rather than later. Mikolas has a 5.70 ERA this season and a 6.75 ERA away from Busch Stadium.

Lux has been crushing it in April. He is riding a 12-game hitting streak and is fresh off a 3-4 day yesterday vs the Cardinals. In the month of April, Lux is hitting .372 and has an OPS of .956. He has also seen some success vs Mikolas in his career. Albeit a small sample size, Lux is 2-5 with a home run against Mikolas. +700 is a great value for Lux to hit one over the fence at home.

As Dinger Tuesday approaches on April 29th, baseball fans are gearing up for an exciting day of home runs in the MLB. With several powerhouse teams and sluggers set to take the field, there are sure to be plenty of long balls to keep fans on the edge of their seats.

One team to keep an eye on is the New York Yankees, who have been hitting home runs at a record pace this season. With sluggers like Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton in the lineup, the Yankees are always a threat to go deep multiple times in a game. Look for them to continue their power surge on Dinger Tuesday.

Another team with a strong lineup of power hitters is the Los Angeles Dodgers. With players like Cody Bellinger, Max Muncy, and Justin Turner, the Dodgers have the ability to hit home runs in bunches. They will be facing off against the Cincinnati Reds on Dinger Tuesday, so expect some fireworks from the Dodgers’ bats.

Individual players to watch on Dinger Tuesday include Mike Trout of the Los Angeles Angels, who is off to a hot start this season and has already hit several home runs. Trout has the ability to change a game with one swing of the bat, so don’t be surprised if he goes deep on Dinger Tuesday.

Another player to keep an eye on is Christian Yelich of the Milwaukee Brewers. Yelich won the NL MVP last season and has continued his power surge into this year. He will be facing off against the Colorado Rockies on Dinger Tuesday, so expect him to add to his home run total.

Overall, Dinger Tuesday promises to be an exciting day of baseball with plenty of home runs to go around. Whether you’re a fan of a specific team or just love watching the long ball, there will be plenty of excitement to go around on April 29th. So grab some popcorn, settle in, and get ready for a day filled with dingers.
