Boise State vs Colorado State Prediction

Impressively, Colorado State is 9-0 both SU and ATS in its last nine games. The Rams have gotten hot at the right time. Niko Medved’s squad has run roughshod over the competition to end the regular season on a high note, and that momentum has carried into the Mountain West Conference tournament.

The Rams are one of the best shooting teams in the country, ranking 25th in effective field goal percentage (55.8%) and 23rd in free-throw percentage (77.8%). Additionally, the Rams knock down 8.5 threes a game on 36.2% shooting from deep, which will be crucial against a Boise State team that can’t shoot. Even if the Broncos take the lead, the Rams can shoot their way back into the game. Expect to see Colorado State pull away late in a tight Mountain West Conference Title game.

Pick: Colorado State Moneyline (-102) at DraftKings

Boise State has won 11 of its past 13 games to effectively secure its spot in the 2025 NCAA tournament. The Broncos have gone 11-5 ATS with equal rest and are a perfect 2-0 ATS in MWC Tournament games thus far.

While the Broncos offense is nothing to write home about, scoring 74.7 points per game, the Boise State defense is a solid unit. Leon Rice’s team holds opponents to 66 points per game (27th in the country), on just 0.44 assists per field-goal made (26th). Crucially, Boise State crashes the boards with abandon, holding opponents to 29.1 rebounds per game (3rd).

Senior forward Tyson Degenhart leads the team with 17.8 points and 6.1 rebounds per game. He’s joined by sophomore Andrew Meadow (12.7 points, 4.5 rebounds), and guard Alvaro Cardenas (12 points, 6.9 assists) as the core of the Broncos attack. Boise State’s offense sits 41st in KenPom’s adjusted efficiency, and the Broncos are an elite team at both getting to and converting free throws. However, the Broncos struggle from the three-point line, converting just 31.1% of shots from deep.

Colorado State’s late-season run has thrust it all the way up to 45th in the latest KenPom rankings. The Rams are in the top-55 teams in the country in both offensive and defensive efficiency.

Most importantly, Colorado State has come out on top in three straight matchups with Boise State. They defeated the Broncos at home on January as 1-point underdogs, and smacked Boise on the road by 10 on March 7th, putting forth a decisive 83-73 victory.

Senior guard Nique Clifford is the heart and soul of this Rams team. Clifford is one of the most dominant scorers in the Mountain West, averaging 18.8 points to go along with 9.8 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game on 51% shooting from the field. Critically, the Colorado Springs native can light it up from deep, shooting 40% on three-point shots this season. Clifford looked unstoppable against Boise State last week, putting up 36 points on 72% shooting. If the Broncos fail to contain Colorado State’s offensive assassin, it could be a long night for Boise State.

Boise State vs Colorado State Odds
