The first round of the NFL Draft is in the books, but the real maneuvering is only just beginning.

Yes, most of the blue-chip prospects had their dreams realized on Thursday night, but there are so many top end, plug-and-play starters still waiting to get called, and perhaps some of them now carrying a mighty chip on their shoulder.

So it’s time for us to dig into the rest of the best in the NFL Draft odds, sharing some of the best you should be considering when Day 2 of the NFL Draft goes at 7pm ET from Green Bay.

Odds to Be #33 Overall Pick

Well, the Cleveland Browns have plenty to think about, as there are a bevy of stars sitting there for the taking, including Shedeur Sanders, a one-time Top 5 pick that has slipped out of the first round entirely. Alabama QB Jalen Millroe is there as well, and so is BC edge rusher Donovan Ezeiruaku.

NFL Draft Round 2 Pick #1: Browns End Sanders Saga

Depending on what the Browns want, the NFL Draft couldn’t have set up better for them.

First, they deal the second pick to the Jaguars to pick up some valuable draft capital and still having a Top-5 pick, which they used to take defensive tackle Mason Graham. The Michigan product will work the interior while Myles Garrett continues to wreak havoc from the outside.

With that defensive line set up for now and the future, two legit signal callers are right there for the taking.

Shedeur Sanders has somehow fallen out of Round 1 all together, joined by Alabama’s Jalen Milroe. Cleveland has Kenny Pickett and Joe Flacco in its QB room, so maybe a potential franchise cornerstone could lighten up that outlook.

Kevin Stefanski can work wonders with either of these prospects, or even Louisville pivot Tyler Shough, if the Browns feel so inclined.

Either way, a QB is coming off the board first to kick off Round 2.

NFL Draft Day 2 Pick: Steelers Snag Skattebo

Besides the anticipated fall of Sanders, one of the other not-so-subtle stories was where Arizona State stud running back Cam Skattebo was going to end up.

Mind you. there are still three other running backs ahead of him — a list that includes Ohio State standout TreVeyon Henderson — but there’s almost no chance Skattebo now falls to Day 3 of the NFL Draft.

Best Running Backs Available 2025 NFL Draft

A transfer from Sacramento State, Skattebo was a standout for Arizona State in 2024, producing over 2,300 scrimmage yards and finding the endzone 24 times, which was tops in the Big 12.

He’s definitely not the fastest of the running backs still on the board, but he’s explosive and most of all, talented and tough.

Notice the names at the top of the odds board that are favored to nab him in the draft, and the one trait they have in common is their ability to find value at that running back position later on down the line in the Draft.

The Patriots have the earliest shot at him with the 38th pick, but I think he’s going at a late pull in the second round, if not early in the third.

Kansas City lurks at the bottom of Round 2 with the 63rd pick and are near the top of Round 3 with the 66th pick, while Kyle Shanahan and the 49ers lurk at the 75th pick. Still, Skattebo feels like a Pittsburgh Steelers kind of grab, and with Najee Harris now with the Chargers, there’s an opening for a tough runner in Mike Tomlin’s backfield, assuming he is still there with the 83rd pick.

As Day 2 of the NFL Draft approaches, all eyes are on top prospects like Shedeur Sanders, son of NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders. The quarterback out of Jackson State University has been generating a lot of buzz leading up to the draft, with many experts predicting he could be a top pick in the second or third round.

Sanders has shown impressive skills on the field, with a strong arm and good decision-making abilities. He has also demonstrated great leadership qualities, earning the respect of his teammates and coaches. However, some scouts have raised concerns about his lack of experience playing against top competition, as Jackson State is not known for its football program.

Despite these concerns, many teams are still interested in Sanders and are considering taking a chance on him in the draft. Some experts believe he could be a good fit for a team in need of a young quarterback to develop behind a veteran starter.

When it comes to predicting Sanders’ draft position, it’s difficult to say for sure where he will end up. Some mock drafts have him going as high as the second round, while others have him falling to the third or even fourth round. It will ultimately depend on how teams evaluate his potential and how they weigh his strengths and weaknesses.

As for the odds of Sanders being drafted on Day 2, it seems likely that he will hear his name called at some point during the second or third round. While there is always a chance he could slip to Day 3, his talent and potential make him an attractive option for teams looking to add depth at the quarterback position.

Overall, Shedeur Sanders is a player to watch on Day 2 of the NFL Draft. His unique skill set and family pedigree make him an intriguing prospect, and it will be interesting to see where he lands and how he performs at the next level. Stay tuned for all the latest updates and analysis as the draft unfolds.
