  • Take a look below for analysis and our top Packers vs Eagles prop bets

It’s been an interesting offseason for both the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles. While no one was certain what Jordan Love would do last year, pundits were more assured about Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles had made it to Super Bowl 57 against the Kansas City Chiefs, which was a close game which could have gone either way, and then rocketed to a 10-1 start in the 2023 regular season.

What transpired over the second half of the 2023-24 season was atypical. Philadelphia ranked as one of the worst defenses in the league, lost five of its final six games, and was blown out by Tampa Bay of all teams in the playoffs.

But as Philly meets Green Bay on Friday, September 6, at Neo Química Arena in Sao Paulo, Brazil, it’s the Eagles who are set as two-point favorites in the Week 1 NFL odds. Kickoff is set for 8:20pm ET. The weather forecast is moderate with temperatures expected to be in the 60s at kickoff. Peacock is streaming the broadcast in the US, with other streaming available through YouTube and NFL+.

Let’s look at the best Packers vs Eagles Week 1 player props and touchdown-scorer odds available.

Jayden Reed (GBP) 3.5 (Ov-135/Un+105) 42.5 (Ov-115/Un-115) 19.5 (Ov-115/Un-115)
AJ Brown (PHI) 5.5 (Ov-115/Un-115) 71.5 (Ov-110/Un-120) 23,5 (Ov-120/Un-110)
DeVonta Smith (PHI) 4.5 (Ov-135/Un+105) 60.5 (Ov-115/Un-115) 22.5 (Ov-120/Un-110)
Dallas Goedert (PHI) 4.5 (Ov+115/Un-145) 38.5 (Ov-115/Un-115) 16.5 (Ov-115/Un-115)

Both quarterbacks have a passing touchdown total of 1.5 with Love more of a favorite to go over (-145) than Hurts (+110). AJ Brown has the highest receiving yardage prop in the NFL player props at 71.5. The two starting running backs – Green Bay’s Josh Jacobs and Philadelphia’s Saquon Barkley  – are only at 63.5 rushing yards in their first games with their new teams.

All odds as of Sep. 5. Lock in this DraftKings promo code before betting on Packers vs Eagles Friday night.

Packers vs Eagles Prop #1: Saquon Barkley Anytime Touchdown

Philadelphia has decent running back depth, which means Barkley will be the starter but won’t be overly taxed. The former New York Giants running back ran for 962 yards in 14 games last season despite one of the worst-ranked offensive lines. Philadelphia possesses a better line and Barkley goes up against a Packers defense that allowed the fifth-most yards to runners. Green Bay defends a little better against the pass.

No one would be surprised to see Barkley run for more than 64 yards on Friday night. There is an alternative total at 71 yards for +130 at DraftKings. Given the nice grass field, running the ball might be more of a priority for Philadelphia at times against Green Bay. It would set up the pass.

Also, our pick is for Barkley to get into the end zone. The nice thing is the running back can grab a touchdown via receiving or rushing (4 receiving, 8 rushing last year). The running back wants to prove last year as a Giant was a fluke.

  • Packers vs Eagles Prop Picks: Saquon Barkley anytime touchdown (-110), 1 unit risked at DraftKings

Packers vs Eagles Prop #2: Christian Watson Longest Reception Over 19.5 Yards

Hope springs eternal when it comes to Week 1 of the NFL season, Unfortunately, the dreaded injury reports can scare the living daylights out of bettors. However, one matchup that can be exploited is Christian Watson against the Philadelphia Eagles secondary. Besides the Eagles allowing 30.3 points per game last year, they gave up a ton of 20+ yard pass plays late in the season.

Again, his Over on receiving yards could be explored too. That depends on the status of several Green Bay players including Romeo Doubs who was limited at practice this week. Watson’s speed is a game changer and the inevitability he gets open a few times down the field is hard to pass up. Expect the third-year pro to grab at least one 20+ yard reception on Friday night.

  • Packers vs Eagles Prop Picks: Christian Watson Longest Reception Over 19.5 Yards (-110), 1 unit risked at DraftKings

Packers vs Eagles TD Scoring Odds

Player Odds to Score First TD Odds to Score Any TD
Saquon Barkley (PHI) +600 -110
Jalen Hurts (PHI) +600 -105
Josh Jacobs (GBP) +800 +115
AJ Brown (PHI) +800 +110
DeVonta Smith (PHI) +1100 +160
Dallas Goedert (PHI) +1200 +195
Christian Watson (GBP) +1200 +170
Jayden Reed (GBP) +1400 +200
Romeo Doubs (GBP) +1400 +225
Jordan Love (GBP) +2000 +330
MarShawn Lloyd (LAC) +2200 +400

Packers vs Eagles Prop #3: Jordan Love Throws for Multiple Touchdowns

Jordan Love will get his chances to get the ball down the field on Friday night. Consider the bookends of the 2023-24 season for the signal-caller. He threw two or more touchdown passes to start the season in consecutive games to start and four straight to end the campaign. Love made a few mistakes but always seemed to find the end zone on multiple occasions.

Honestly, there are more risky wagers to be made. Also, one could bet on the yards or completions. However, the over on the touchdowns helps out your Packers vs Eagles picks. Philadelphia gave up the second-most passing touchdowns in the league.

  • Packers vs Eagles Prop Picks: Jordan Love over 1.5 touchdowns (-145), 1 unit risked on DraftKings

The Green Bay Packers will face off against the Philadelphia Eagles on Friday, September 6 in a highly anticipated preseason matchup. As fans gear up for the game, many are looking to make some player props and picks to add an extra layer of excitement to the game.

One player to keep an eye on is Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers is known for his precision passing and ability to make big plays under pressure. In this game, look for Rodgers to connect with his favorite targets like Davante Adams and Jimmy Graham for some big gains. A prop bet on Rodgers throwing for over 250 yards and 2 touchdowns could be a solid pick.

On the defensive side of the ball, Packers linebacker Za’Darius Smith is a player to watch. Smith was a key offseason acquisition for Green Bay and has already shown his ability to disrupt opposing offenses. Look for Smith to get after Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz and potentially force a turnover. A prop bet on Smith recording a sack or causing a fumble could pay off.

For the Eagles, quarterback Carson Wentz will be looking to make a statement after missing the end of last season due to injury. Wentz has a strong arm and the ability to extend plays with his legs, making him a dangerous threat to the Packers defense. A prop bet on Wentz throwing for over 300 yards and 3 touchdowns could be a smart pick.

On defense, Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham is a player to watch. Graham is a disruptive force on the defensive line and has the ability to get to the quarterback in a hurry. Look for Graham to put pressure on Rodgers and potentially come up with a big play. A prop bet on Graham recording a sack or forcing a turnover could be a good choice.

As fans gear up for the Packers vs Eagles game on Friday, September 6, player props and picks can add an extra level of excitement to the matchup. Keep an eye on key players like Aaron Rodgers, Za’Darius Smith, Carson Wentz, and Brandon Graham as they look to make an impact on the game. With some strategic prop bets, fans can elevate their viewing experience and potentially come out on top.
