Player Prop Bets for Dodgers vs Braves Sunday Night Baseball Game on May 4th

  • We’ve got a good one for Sunday Night Baseball on Sunday, May 4, 2025
  • The Los Angeles Dodgers are in Atlanta taking on the Braves, so we’ll need some action
  • See my favorite Dodgers vs Braves player props and team prop picks and predictions tonight

It’s Sunday, which means it’s a sacred day. We’re going to spend quality time with the quality people in our lives, so that’s huge. What’s even huger (probably not a word, but it felt right to say) is that, no matter what we’re doing all day, we’ve got the Los Angeles Dodgers taking on the Atlanta Braves on Sunday Night Baseball. That’s big. That means we can bet dingers, strikeouts, runlines, whatever, all day knowing that we’ve got two absolute bangers waiting for us in the late game.

Tell me something that’s better than that. I can’t think of anything. What’s even better is, you don’t even have to look for the bangers yourself because I already found them. They were right in front of us the whole time. That’s crazy.

Dodgers vs Braves Player Prop #1 – Shohei Ohtani Over 2.5 Hits + Runs +RBI

I don’t know if you’ve heard of Shohei Ohtani, but he’s pretty good. In fact, he’s so good that I’ve even lifted my ban on taking anyone over 2.5 hits + runs + RBI. The whole reason I like the hits + runs + RBI market because we can easily get what we need in one at-bat. So obviously we prefer the over 1.5 line over the 2.5 variety.

But, when we have a guy smashing the pitch mix Ohtani will see tonight, we can make an exception and go up and get some.

The thing is, this isn’t just about Ohtani and the fact that every ball he hits right now goes off the bat at 100+ mph. No, this is about Bryce Elder, too. The man has already given up six home runs in just 27 innings of work this season. That is alarming. In fact, on this exact day last season (5-4-2024), Ohtani hit a ball that still hasn’t landed yet off of Elder. I think he leads off he game with another moonshot. Feels right.

Dodgers vs Braves Player Prop #2 – Mookie Betts Over 2.5 Hits + Runs +RBI

Do you know what’s fun even if you’re not a Dodgers fan? Mookie Betts is hitting the ball hard. I think it’s because he hits directly behind Ohtani, so it’s a borderline “Bash Brothers” situation,n but who really knows? All I know is, it’s fun as a dinger bettor to have a Murders Row type of lineup, and that’s what the Dodgers have.

Just look at what Mookie does to the pitch mix he’ll see tonight.

I get that the numbers really aren’t that impressive, but Mookie stunk to begin the season. The thing is, Mookie is back. Since the 30th, he’s got five 100+ mph hits. One of those balls cleared a fence, too. As it relates to Bryce Elder, he gets hit pretty hard by right-handers. I’m thinking right after Ohtani puts one into orbit in the first inning, Mookie will make it rain on someone in the leftfield stands. Seems inevitable.

Player prop bets are a popular form of betting in baseball, allowing fans to wager on specific outcomes involving individual players rather than just the overall outcome of the game. With the Los Angeles Dodgers set to take on the Atlanta Braves in Sunday Night Baseball on May 4th, there are a number of intriguing player prop bets to consider.

One player to keep an eye on for the Dodgers is outfielder Mookie Betts. Betts has been one of the most consistent hitters in baseball over the past few seasons, and he could be a good bet to record multiple hits in this game. Another interesting prop bet for Betts could be whether he will steal a base, as he is known for his speed on the basepaths.

On the pitching side, Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw will likely be on the mound for this game. Kershaw is always a threat to record a high number of strikeouts, so a prop bet on his strikeout total could be worth considering. Additionally, Kershaw has been known to go deep into games, so a bet on whether he will pitch a complete game could also be intriguing.

For the Braves, outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. is always a player to watch. Acuna is a dynamic player who can impact the game in a variety of ways, so prop bets on his total bases or whether he will hit a home run could be enticing options.

Another player to consider for the Braves is starting pitcher Max Fried. Fried has been one of the top pitchers in the National League this season, so prop bets on his strikeout total or whether he will earn a win could be worth looking into.

Overall, player prop bets can add an extra layer of excitement to watching Sunday Night Baseball between the Dodgers and Braves. Whether you’re betting on Betts’ hitting prowess, Kershaw’s dominance on the mound, or Acuna’s power at the plate, there are plenty of opportunities to get in on the action and potentially win big. Just remember to gamble responsibly and enjoy the game!
