There’s a new name in West Virginia sports betting and it will debut in early 2025.
VIP Play, which also operates in Tennessee as ZenSports, recently announced it agreed to terms with Delaware North to operate in West Virginia under Delaware North’s Wheeling Island Casino license.
West Virginia will be the second state VIP Play is licensed to operate sports betting in the U.S.
Launching in Early 2025
According to a company report, VIP Play is expected to launch in the Mountain State prior to the start of the 2025 collegiate football season. Each college football season begin in late August of every year. The launch will coordinate with the development of the newly branded and designed VIP Play app, which is set to debut in Tennessee in early 2025.

As part of the deal with Delaware North, VIP Play will pay Delaware North a percentage of their online net gaming revenue. The percentage has not been revealed by the company in the deal.
Delaware North is a global hospitality and entertainment company, which includes a portfolio of regional casinos in eight states.
VIP Play Joining Up and Coming Market
November was the second most lucrative month of sports betting for West Virginia of all time, with the state reporting $14.4 million in sports betting revenue. The all time revenue total of $15.5 million was set in September.
Here are the following partnerships between casinos and operators in the state, plus their November revenue totals:
- The Greenbrier (FanDuel and BetMGM): $6.1 million in sports betting revenue
- Hollywood Casino Charles Town (DraftKings): $5.3 million in sports betting revenue
- Mountaineer Casino (Caesars, BetRivers): $2.5 million in sports betting revenue
- Mardi Gras Casino (Betly): $543,813 in sports betting revenue
The partnership between VIP Play and Delaware North will have to receive regulatory approval prior to the operator launch in the state.
