NBA player props from DraftKings on June 9.
The player props for Game 2 show some notable shifts from Thursday. Doncic’s point total has increased from 30.5 to 31.5, despite failing to hit the over by a single point. His assist total, however, has dropped from 9.5 to 8.5 and the under is heavily favored (+136o/-162u). The Mavs star had just one assist in Game 1, his lowest total of the entire season. His previous low in the playoffs was five.
For Boston, Jayson Tatum’s total has dropped from 26.5 to 25.5 after the C’s star had just 16 in Game 1. The Celtics continued to employ the hyper-balanced attack that’s characterized their entire run through the postseason: all five starters, and six players in total, finished in double-figures on Thursday, led by 22 from Jaylen Brown.
Mavericks vs Celtics Game 2 Predictions
Dallas’ run through the Western Conference was as impressive as it was unexpected. Outside of Doncic and Kyrie Irving, the team’s supporting cast leaves a lot to be desired. While players like PJ Washington and Derrick Jones Jr raised their games against the likes of the T-wolves, there is little doubt about which of the teams in the Finals is deeper. All of which is to say I am going to have a hard time backing Dallas again after their Game 1 showing, which looked like men against boys in the first half.
There are a few props I like, though. I’m going to target Tatum’s point-total under again along with Doncic’s under on assists. I’m also going to add Derrick White’s over. The Celtics point guard has gone over 14.5 points in five of his last six games and is averaging 17.6 PPG in the postseason (compared to 15.2 PPG in the regular season).
DAL vs BOS Game 2 picks:
- Tatum under 25.5 points (-100)
- White over 14.5 points (-112)
- Doncic under 8.5 assists (-162)

The Dallas Mavericks will face off against the Boston Celtics in Game 2 of their series on June 9th, and fans are eagerly anticipating what promises to be an exciting matchup. Both teams are coming off strong performances in Game 1, with the Mavericks narrowly edging out the Celtics in a close game.
As we look ahead to Game 2, let’s take a closer look at the odds, predictions, player props, and injury reports for both teams.
The odds for Game 2 currently favor the Mavericks, with many sportsbooks giving them a slight edge over the Celtics. However, with both teams evenly matched in terms of talent and skill, this game could easily go either way.
In terms of predictions, many experts believe that this game will be another close one, with both teams fighting hard for the win. The Mavericks will be looking to build on their momentum from Game 1, while the Celtics will be looking to bounce back and even up the series.
When it comes to player props, there are several key players to keep an eye on. For the Mavericks, Luka Doncic will once again be a focal point of their offense, while Kristaps Porzingis will look to continue his strong play in the post. For the Celtics, Jayson Tatum and Kemba Walker will be key players to watch, as they look to lead their team to victory.
In terms of injuries, both teams are relatively healthy heading into Game 2. The Mavericks will be without JJ Redick, who is still recovering from a heel injury, while the Celtics will be missing Evan Fournier due to health and safety protocols. However, both teams have enough depth to overcome these absences and put forth a strong performance on the court.
