With the first round of the NFL draft almost underway, sportsbooks finally felt comfortable posting 2025 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year odds. The top of the board in replete isn’t as stacked with QBs as it is most seasons. Instead, soon-to-be #1 overall pick Cam Ward is joined by a host of skill-position players. The table below lists the opening NFL OROY odds the top 25 favorites.

NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Odds (2025)

Jeanty has opened with Offensive Rookie of the Year odds of +250, which equals a 28.57% implied win probability. Ward is just behind him at +400 (20% implied win probability) with Colorado WR/CB Travis Hunter third at +800 (12.5%) and his teammate QB Shedeur Sanders fourth at +800 (11.1%). No other player is shorter than +1200.

Jeanty Opens as 2025 NFL OROY Favorites

It’s not a surprise to see Jeanty open as the favorite. The Boise State product is the most-sought-after running back prospect since Saquon Barkley, and Barkley’s exploits in the playoffs with the Super Bowl-champion Eagles have increased the premiums on running backs around the league.

It’s also much easier to integrate a tier-one running back into an offense than it is to integrate a rookie QB. Jeanty is going to be a huge part of the offense for whichever team drafts him (side note: the latest Ashton Jeanty odds heavily favor him going #5 to the Chicago Bears).

Also working in Jeanty’s favor is that the 2025 QB class is not good. Cameron Ward is the clear-cut #1 and is widely expected to go first overall to the Tennessee Titans, whose offense is in disarray. It’s much easier to see Jeanty turning a middling Bears attack into an upper-echelon unit than Ward transforming the Titans attack in his first season under center.

Hunter Listed Third Despite Positional Questions

It’s somewhat puzzling that dual-threat WR/CB Travis Hunter is the third favorite. Hunter has been adamant that he wants to play on both sides of the ball but there’s no doubt that he’s seen as a better cornerback prospect than wide receiver prospect. Whichever team takes him is almost certainly going to want him to play at corner. If they can use him on offense without sacrificing his effectiveness on defense, great. But that’s a big if.

There’s no way to be certain Hunter will get enough offensive snaps to warrant him being the third favorite in the 2025 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year odds.

The race for the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award is heating up, with several standout rookies making a strong case for the prestigious honor. Among the top contenders are Ja’Marr Chase, Najee Harris, Mac Jones, and Kyle Pitts. However, according to the latest betting odds, it is Ja’Marr Chase who is favored to win the award over his fellow rookies.

Chase, who was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals with the fifth overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, has been nothing short of spectacular in his rookie season. The former LSU standout has quickly established himself as one of the league’s top wide receivers, leading all rookies in receiving yards and touchdowns. His chemistry with quarterback Joe Burrow has been a major factor in the Bengals’ success this season, and he is widely considered the favorite to take home the Offensive Rookie of the Year award.

Despite Chase’s impressive performance, he faces stiff competition from other talented rookies, including Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris, New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones, and Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts. Harris has been a workhorse for the Steelers, leading all rookies in rushing yards and touchdowns. Jones has been steady and consistent for the Patriots, while Pitts has emerged as a dynamic playmaker for the Falcons.

According to the latest betting odds, Chase is the frontrunner to win the Offensive Rookie of the Year award, with Harris, Jones, and Pitts trailing behind. While anything can happen in the NFL, Chase’s outstanding performance thus far makes him a strong candidate to take home the award at the end of the season.

As the race for the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award continues to unfold, fans and analysts alike will be keeping a close eye on these talented rookies as they look to make their mark on the league. With several weeks left in the regular season, there is still plenty of time for these young stars to make their case for the prestigious honor. Only time will tell who will ultimately come out on top, but one thing is for certain – the future looks bright for these promising rookies.
