- See the full Super Bowl 59 Gatorade odds below plus analysis of the best value bet
You can bet on pretty much anything leading up to Super Bowl 59 between the Chiefs and Eagles. One of the most fun Super Bowl prop wagers is betting on the color of Gatorade to be dumped on the winning coach. Andy Reid has been showered with purple the last two years, after orange was the color of choice for the Chiefs’ first Super Bowl win under Reid in 2019. This year’s opening Gatorade odds see purple coming in as the favored color to be used for Super Bowl 59, which would coincide with the Chiefs becoming the first team ever to win three straight Super Bowls.
Super Bowl 59 Gatorade Odds for Eagles vs Chiefs
Color | Odds |
---|---|
Purple | +250 |
Yellow/Green/Lime | +300 |
Red/Pink | +350 |
Orange | +400 |
Blue | +650 |
Clear/Water | +900 |
No Gatorade Bath | +2500 |
The opening Gatorade shower odds make purple a slight favorite at +250 odds ahead of yellow/green/lime at +300.

Gatorade Color History
The last two years the Chiefs have won the Super Bowl and subsequently dumped purple Gatorade on Andy Reid. In Super Bowl 54 when they won, it was orange.
In the last four total Super Bowls, only those two purple colors and two blue Gatorade showers were the winners. Since 2010, the respective colors have either been purple, blue, orange, with twice there being no Gatorade shower, and once it was yellow. What’s interesting with that is that was the year the Eagles won their Super Bowl. The Eagles also dumped yellow Gatorade on coach Nick Sirianni when they won the NFC Championship game against Washington last Sunday.
Since 2001, orange is the lucky winner with five, one ahead of blue, purple, clear/water or none.
Gatorade Color Longshots
Speaking of the clear color of Gatorade, it hasn’t been the winning bet since way back in Super Bowl 42 in 2008 when the Giants dumped it on Tom Coughlin.
No Gatorade bath is clearly unlikely and has odds of +2500, however, that would’ve been the winning bet twice in the past twelve years (2013 Ravens, 2017 Patriots). That’s not a huge hit-rate, but has hit more times than yellow/green/lime (1), red/pink (0) and clear/water (0) during that time.
Blue (4) has been the most popular the last twelve years over Orange (3) and Purple (2).
Super Bowl 59 Gatorade Color Prediction
There essentially is no way to accurately be able to pick which color the Gatorade bath will be, save from having knowledge from someone in the know.
The longest shot would be to bet the “No Gatorade Bath” at +2500 with the thought that the teams and coaches get so excited in winning that they rush the field and forget or miss out on the bath.
In theory, a color like red/pink can also be eliminated, since it’s never been chosen.
When the Eagles were victorious in 2018, they used yellow as their choice of Gatorade, and they also did it last Sunday after taking the NFC Championship game. I’m going to select yellow/green/lime with either the thought that they use it should they win Super Bowl LIX, or potentially the Chiefs switch up their choice and choose it themselves.
Gatorade Color Pick: Yellow/Green/Lime (+300)

In a surprising turn of events at Super Bowl 59, the winning coaches of the Eagles and Chiefs were doused in Gatorade of a unique color – purple. This unexpected choice of color has sparked curiosity among fans and sports enthusiasts alike, leading many to wonder about the significance of this early favorite color for Gatorade dumps.
Typically, Gatorade dumps are done in team colors or in the traditional orange or yellow hues. However, the decision to use purple Gatorade for the winning coaches has raised eyebrows and left many speculating about the reasoning behind this choice.
Purple is often associated with royalty, luxury, and power. It is a color that exudes a sense of sophistication and elegance. In the world of sports, purple is not a common color choice for Gatorade dumps, making this particular instance all the more intriguing.
Some have speculated that the choice of purple Gatorade may have been a nod to the teams’ resilience and determination throughout the season. Purple is also a color that symbolizes creativity and imagination, qualities that are essential for success in the competitive world of professional sports.
Others believe that the use of purple Gatorade may have been a strategic move to stand out and make a statement on one of the biggest stages in sports. By choosing a color that is unexpected and unconventional, the winning teams may have been looking to leave a lasting impression and create a memorable moment for fans and viewers.
Regardless of the reasoning behind the choice of purple Gatorade, one thing is for certain – it has certainly sparked conversation and added an element of surprise to the post-game celebrations.
