Sweet 16 Parlay Leg #1 – Alabama vs BYU Over 185.5

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a million times, Alabama might be a basketball school now. I get that they had that run in football that most schools will never match, but they don’t mess around in basketball either. If you don’t think so, you haven’t been paying attention.

They’ve literally been to the Sweet 16 for three years in a row now. That’s crazy.

Our bet on Alabama tonight is two-fold though. Obviously we took them earlier in the week at -4.5 but the total looks to be in play as well. We’re talking over, but not just any over. We need one of those alts at FanDuel because this game could easily see 200+ points.

That sounds crazy but Bama plays at the fastest pace in the NCAA. On top of that, they’ve got the 4th best offensive rating. The thing is, they’re playing a team in BYU that can score the basketball. These kids can shoot.

On this season, the Cougars went for 90+ points 10 different times. They’ve got one of the best effective field goal percentages in the country. If they are hitting shots, then this thing could go way over the standard total. I live for games like this.

Sweet 16 Parlay Leg #2 – Arkansas Moneyline

Not many people had Arkansas in the Sweet 16, myself included. But they played in the toughest conference in the country so this shouldn’t be surprising. Almost half of the remaining teams are from the SEC which is crazy.

One thing we’ve all learned fro this run is, Arkansas is firmly a “basketball school.” I’m glad that’s settled.

The Razorbacks will see Texas Tech tonight which is obviously a test. They won both of their first-round games by double digits so they are no joke. The thing is, this will be the third double-digit seed they see in this tournament. That’s as “easy” as a path gets to the Elite Eight.

The difference between Arkansas and the other double-digit seeds Texas Tech has seen is the fact that we’re talking about an SEC school here. We’re also talking about the 17th-best defense in the country according to KenPom. There won’t be any “easy” buckets for the Red Raiders tonight. Arkansas should not be +184 to win this game.
