Tonight’s pitching matchup isn’t exactly a marquee event, but it should make for some exciting baseball. The Orioles are debuting Trevor Rogers to Camden Yards while the Nationals are set to throw Jake Irvin, who has superior numbers but has struggled in August thus far.
Let’s start with Rogers, who the Orioles acquired from Miami at the end of July. The 26-year old lefty struggled heavily in Miami, losing his first 6 games of the year. He earned a win with a solid performance against Milwaukee to end July, but he’s already earned a loss with the Orioles too.

His ERA was hovering under 3 in early July but now sits at 3.76 and he’s allowed an average of over 4 earned runs per outing across his last 6 appearances.
