Broncos vs Chargers Player Prop #1: Herbert Completions
It’s entirely possible the books overlooked Justin Herbert’s completion prop, because it doesn’t add up.
Herbert, given a line of 21.5 completions at DraftKings, ranks 18th in the NFL this year in completions, averaging 18.2 per contest.

The fewer attempts and LA’s run-first approach has helped Herbert to a career-low two interceptions through 14 games, but he has only completed 22 more passes in a game one time all year.
He has come close, hitting 21 completions in three of his last four games, including a 21-for-33 effort last time out in a loss to the Bucs. The other time this year? When he went 21-for-34 in LA’s Week 6 win against these same Broncos.
- Broncos vs Chargers Prop Pick: Herbert Under 21.5 completions (-145); risk 1 unit at DraftKings
DEN vs LAC Player Prop #2: Nix TD Passes
Bo Nix has looked downright above average as Denver has reeled off four wins in a row and six in its last eight to secure its first winning season since 2016.
Even with a subpar effort last week against the Colts, the rookie threw three TD passes, giving him at least two TD tosses in four of his last five games.

Nix has also had success against this same Chargers’ secondary, as he was getting his feet wet at the NFL level, throwing for 216 yards and two scores.
Over its last 10 games, LA has allowed seven passers to throw for at least two TD’s. Only Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins and Jameis Winston have failed to top that total.
- Broncos vs Chargers Prop Picks: Nic OVER 1.5 TD passes (+135); risk 2 units at DraftKings

Broncos vs Chargers Player Prop #3: Count of Courtland
Broncos’ wideout Courtland Sutton has scored a touchdown in each of his last three appearances against the Chargers.
For LA (and for increased juice) Quentin Johnston has scored a touchdown in each of the Chargers’ last four games as favorites.
Looking to get a little crazier? The Broncos’ D/ST has scored at least one touchdown in each of their last two games, and have +500 odds to do it a third time.

Thursday Night Football in Week 16 features a matchup between the Denver Broncos and the Los Angeles Chargers. While the game itself is sure to be exciting, there are also plenty of player prop bets to consider for those looking to add some extra excitement to the game.
One of the best player prop bets to consider for this game is the over/under on passing yards for Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert. Herbert has been one of the most impressive rookies in the NFL this season, and he has shown the ability to put up big numbers through the air. The over/under for Herbert’s passing yards in this game is set at 275.5 yards. Given the Broncos’ struggles against the pass this season, taking the over on Herbert’s passing yards could be a smart bet.
Another player prop bet to consider is the over/under on receiving yards for Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy. Jeudy has shown flashes of brilliance in his rookie season, but he has been inconsistent at times. The over/under for Jeudy’s receiving yards in this game is set at 55.5 yards. If Jeudy is able to get going early in the game, he could easily surpass this total.
For those looking for a more risky bet, consider taking the over on total touchdowns scored in the game. The over/under for total touchdowns in this game is set at 5.5. Both the Broncos and Chargers have explosive offenses, and with two young quarterbacks leading the way, there is a good chance that this game could turn into a high-scoring affair.
Overall, there are plenty of player prop bets to consider for Thursday Night Football between the Broncos and Chargers. Whether you’re looking to bet on individual player performances or the overall outcome of the game, there are plenty of options to choose from. Just remember to do your research and make informed decisions before placing your bets.
