Best Player Prop Bets for Monday Night Football Week 3: Jacksonville Jaguars vs Buffalo Bills

  • Week 3 is almost in the books but we still need to see how the Jacksonville Jaguars/Buffalo Bills game plays out on Monday Night Football
  • My favorite way to get down on the NFL is by betting players props and there are a few worth considering Monday night
  • See below to find two of my favorite Jaguars vs Bills player props to bet for this MNF matchup

The NFL is giving us two Monday Night Football games this week so obviously we need to get down. It’s the right thing to do. We can’t have these guys out there playing for nothing. Since there are two games, we’re going to get loose on both. We need to let the NFL know that we want this every single Monday moving forward. The best way to do that is to show our appreciation by gambling.

The early game is the Jacksonville Jaguars vs Buffalo Bills. About 45 minutes after they kick off, we’ll get the Washington Commanders vs Cincinnati Bengals. I’m hoping YouTube TV is offering the split screen because I don’t want to miss a play in either game. Why? Because we’ve got a player prop bet in each of the two games. This could easily be the greatest night of our lives.

Jaguars vs Bills Player Prop Picks

Player Rushing Attempts Rushing Yards Pick
James Cook (Bills) 14.5 (Ov -120 / Un -108) 61.5 (Ov -110 / Un -110) 70+ Rushing Yards (+128)
Player Rushing Attempts Rushing Yards Pick
Brian Robinson Jr (Commanders) 13.5 (Ov -120 / Un -108) 53.5 (Ov -113 / Un -113) 60+ Rushing Yards (+118)

Both Monday Night Football player props in Week 3 are on running backs to go over an alt-total at plus-money, starting with Buffalo’s James Cook in the early kickoff, followed Washington’s Brian Robinson Jr in the late game.

James Cook Is Legit

The first rule of gambling is you can’t win if you don’t bet. That is a fact that can’t be disputed. It’s my favorite rule for anything but a close second is the second rule of gambling which is, “only bet on guys you can trust.”

Lucky for us, James Cook is in the Circle of Trust and he plays tonight. We have to trust a guy that runs 65 mph.

Here’s the thing, we don’t have to spend a lot of time on this one. Overthinking is the best way to lose our money betting sports. We have a guy that is faster than my first car. The Buffalo Bills know this so they just hand the ball to this guy and watch him run off with it. It’s a very simple process that works.

Want proof? So far this season, Cook has gone for 70+ rushing yards in both games. I get that he’s only played two games but whatever. He can only play when his team has a game scheduled. So far that has only been twice. He’s going to see the Jacksonville Jaguars tonight who haven’t been bad against the run but they haven’t been good either. What’s better is they should keep this thing close enough that it forces the Bills to run in garbage time.

When that happens, James Cook will go for 70+ rushing yards. It’s science.

Brian Robinson Is an Absolute Beast

I’m not the biggest rushing yards guy out there but we’ve reached a point in NFL history when people are running the ball again. Look around, it’s everywhere. Blame the 2-high safety looks, smaller defenders, whatever. The fact remains, teams are sticking to the ground.

Can we really blame them, though? When we have matchups like Washington vs Cincinnati tonight, you almost have to run.

It’s tough to go on and on about a rushing prop so I won’t. We don’t need it. To run the ball, we just have to want to. That and have an absolute beast and a decent offensive line. That’s something the Commanders have with Brian Robinson Jr and their guys up front. It’s simple really.

The only thing I don’t love is the fact that the Commanders are pretty big underdogs tonight. We can go broke backing running backs in road games as underdogs but we’re built different. Plus we can see that the only way the Commanders have a chance in this thing is by running with Robinson early and moving the chains in doing so.

If that happens, Joe Burrow stays off the field, the Commanders keep it respectable and Brian Robinson Jr runs for more than 60 yards. Feels right.

As Monday Night Football approaches in Week 3, football fans and bettors alike are gearing up for an exciting matchup between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Buffalo Bills. While traditional bets on the outcome of the game are always popular, player prop bets offer a unique opportunity to wager on individual player performances.

For those looking to add some extra excitement to the game, here are some of the best player prop bets to consider for Monday night’s matchup:

1. Josh Allen Over 250.5 Passing Yards
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has been on fire to start the season, throwing for over 300 yards in each of the first two games. With a favorable matchup against a struggling Jaguars defense, Allen should have no problem surpassing the 250.5 passing yard mark on Monday night.

2. Trevor Lawrence Over 1.5 Touchdown Passes
On the other side of the ball, Jaguars rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence has shown flashes of brilliance in his first two NFL games. Facing a Bills defense that has given up multiple touchdown passes in each of their first two games, Lawrence should have a good chance to throw for at least two touchdowns on Monday night.

3. Stefon Diggs Over 75.5 Receiving Yards
Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs has established himself as one of the top receivers in the league, and he should be in for a big game against the Jaguars’ secondary. Look for Diggs to easily surpass the 75.5 receiving yard mark and potentially find the end zone as well.

4. James Robinson Over 60.5 Rushing Yards
Jaguars running back James Robinson has been a bright spot for the team’s offense, averaging over 80 rushing yards per game so far this season. Against a Bills defense that has struggled to stop the run, Robinson should have no problem eclipsing the 60.5 rushing yard mark on Monday night.

5. Dawson Knox Anytime Touchdown Scorer
Bills tight end Dawson Knox has emerged as a favorite target for Josh Allen in the red zone, scoring a touchdown in each of the first two games. Look for Knox to find the end zone once again on Monday night and cash in on this prop bet.

As always, it’s important to do your own research and consider all factors before placing any bets. Player prop bets can be a fun way to add some extra excitement to Monday Night Football, so consider these options as you prepare to watch the Jaguars take on the Bills in Week 3.
