WNBA Rookie of the Year Favorites
Paige Bueckers (-230)
Bueckers opened at a heavy favorite for a reason. The former UConn superstar is coming off of a National Championship victory and will be riding high into the WNBA. The Edina, Minnesota native has been penciled is as the future No.1 pick since she was a freshman. A three-time unanimous All-American Bueckers polished offensive game, elite vision, and ability to take over in the clutch makes her the frontrunner. She’s WNBA ready from Day 1 and steps into the perfect situation to showcase her skill set.
That being said, -230 is a seriously steep price for a full-season award. If you’re looking for a safe bet and don’t mind the juice Bueckers is the clear-cut wager. However, there’s a ton of interesting value further down the WNBA Rookie of the Year odds board.
Dominique Malonga (+400)
Malonga isn’t a household name (yet), but the French forward has all the tools to have a huge impact on the Seattle Storm. Her size, motor and rebounding instincts alone will translate straight away at the next level. If she’s getting consistent minutes, her offensive stats should match as well. Remember, Molanga represented France at the 2024 Olympics at the age of just 18 years old. She averaged just 2.8 points and 2 rebounds per game, but gained valuable experience against the very best players in the world.
If she can play for the French national team as a teenager, Molanga has the potential to hit the ground running in the WNBA. Should Bueckers stumble or miss time with an injury, Molanga is the most likely beneficiary. At +400 odds, she’s worth a unit wager.
Kiki Iriafen (+1200)
Looking for a longshot WNBA Rookie of the Year bet with significant upside? Iriafen dominated on a stacked USC Trojans squad last season, and her athleticism and scoring ability could pop in the WAshington Mystics system. The 6’3 forward averaged 18 points and 8.4 rebounds while shooting nearly 50% from the floor for the Trojans, and could easily carve out that same role in the WNBA.
The fourth overall pick is a raw prospect compared to the names above her, but Iriafen’s scoring numbers could set her apart. At +1200 odds, Kiki is worth a sprinkle.

The WNBA Draft has come and gone, and now it’s time to start analyzing the odds for the Rookie of the Year award. With a talented pool of rookies entering the league this season, there are plenty of contenders who could make a strong case for the prestigious honor.
One of the top contenders for the Rookie of the Year award is Charli Collier, who was selected first overall by the Dallas Wings. Collier, a dominant post player out of Texas, has the size and skill to make an immediate impact in the league. With the Wings in need of a strong presence in the paint, Collier could be a frontrunner for the award if she can live up to her potential.
Another player to keep an eye on is Aari McDonald, who was selected third overall by the Atlanta Dream. McDonald, a dynamic guard out of Arizona, is known for her scoring ability and tenacious defense. With the Dream looking to rebuild after a tough season last year, McDonald could have plenty of opportunities to showcase her skills and make a case for Rookie of the Year.
One dark horse candidate for the award is Rennia Davis, who was selected ninth overall by the Minnesota Lynx. Davis, a versatile forward out of Tennessee, has the ability to score from anywhere on the court and could be a valuable asset for the Lynx this season. If Davis can make an immediate impact and help the Lynx compete for a playoff spot, she could surprise many and emerge as a contender for Rookie of the Year.
When it comes to betting on the Rookie of the Year award, there are a few factors to consider. Look for players who will have ample playing time and opportunities to showcase their skills, as well as teams that are in need of a strong rookie presence. Keep an eye on preseason performances and early season stats to get a sense of which players are making a strong case for the award.
Overall, the WNBA Rookie of the Year race is shaping up to be an exciting one this season. With a talented pool of rookies entering the league, there are plenty of contenders who could make a strong case for the award. Keep an eye on players like Charli Collier, Aari McDonald, and Rennia Davis as potential frontrunners, and consider factors like playing time and team needs when placing your bets. It’s sure to be an exciting season as these rookies look to make their mark on the league.
