OKC Thunder vs. Philadelphia 76ers  Odds

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Oklahoma City Thunder +5.5 (-115) +185 O 176.5 (-110)
Philadelphia 76ers -5.5 (-105) -225 U 176.5 (-110)

The 76ers are considerable favorites in the spread and moneyline, sitting at -225 ML and -5.5 as stated above. The Thunder are +185 to win outright.

The over/under for this matchup has been set at 176.5 by Caesars, and it’s really tough to tell if that’s a strong line or not. If we go purely based on scores from yesterday as a slight reference, most went well under this total. Only 1 out of 4 games (Heat vs. Kings) went over.

Summer League Rosters: Jared McCain, Other Draftees Highlight Players to Watch

There will be 4 drafted players taking part in this matchup between the 76ers and Thunder: Dillon Jones and Ajay Mitchell for Oklahoma City as well as Jared McCain and Adem Bona for Philadelphia.

The Thunder will be playing without their top pick in this year’s draft. Nikola Topic, who was selected No. 12 overall, will likely miss the entire 2024 season with a non-contact knee injury suffered in May.

But there’s still plenty of players to watch for Oklahoma City tonight, including Jones and Mitchell. Here’s a look at the Thunder’s roster for 2024 Summer League:

And here’s a look at Philadelphia’s Summer League unit:

On paper, the 76ers unit is more capable while Oklahoma City’s unit is full of familiar faces for the college basketball fan in the house. Bona, the 76ers’ 2nd round pick, could be especially effective tonight down low.

A name to watch for Oklahoma City apart from their draftees could be Alex Ducas, who may be the best shooter on the floor. The St. Mary’s shooting guard signed a 2-way deal with OKC after the draft and shoots an electric 44% from range. Interested in more 3-point shooting? NCAA Tournament darling Jack Gohlke of Oakland is also on the Thunder’s Summer League roster.

Thunder and 76ers Picks & Predictions for Summer League

Picking the first Summer League game of the season for either team is tough, to say the least. There’s no way to know how these talented players will act as a unit, and often a player that nobody expects ends up outperforming everyone else. After all, this is a tryout.

The 76ers have more experience in this arena than the Thunder, though. Not to mention, Oklahoma City is without their top draft pick while Jared McCain is ready to go on Philadelphia’s side of the court. For that reason, Philadelphia seems like the safer pick.

The reason I choose Philly -5.5 has to do with the fact that there are often not very close matchups. Only 1 game out of 8 played so far in the California Summer League has finished within 15 points of each other (and it was a 14-point differential.) This goes hand in hand with my Under 176.5 pick – one team has trended towards scoring around 90 while the other hovers around the high 60s.

We’ll see if these 2 teams want to break that mold on Monday.

OKC vs. PHI picks:

  • Under 176.5 (-110)
  • 76ers -5.5 (-105)
