Memphis Crushing Recent Summer League Opponents

Memphis earned its status as favorite through four straight decisive victories. The Grizzlies won each of their last four games by at least six points and have a +14.3 average margin of victory in Summer League action in Las Vegas, including a pair of 20-point victories over the Mavericks (108-88) and Kings (103-83).

Despite Summer League contests being just 40  minutes long (four ten-minute quarters) the Grizz managed to hit triple-digits in three of their four recent wins. Only an 88-77 win over the Pelicans defied that high-scoring trend.

Memphis has a boatload of options at the offensive end even without #9 overall pick Zach Edey. Edey has played in just one game in Vegas, recording six points and three rebounds in nine minutes before rolling his ankle. He’s not expected to be in the lineup on Sunday.  Memphis has been led by a three-headed attack of Scottie Pippen Jr (19.2 PPG), GG Jackson II (19.7 PPG), Cam Spencer (13.8 PPG), and Jake LaRavia (14.0 PPG).

Clippers Crushing All Comers

LA has been every bit as impressive as the Grizzlies in Las Vegas. The Clippers have won all four of their games by at least nine points and have a +12.75 average margin of victory. They’ve eclipsed 85 points in all four games – including hitting the century mark twice – while keeping two opponents under 80 (87-78 vs the Nets and 88-78 vs the Nuggets).

Former Oregon Duck Jordan Miller (24.8 PPG) has been a revelation, with Kobe Brown (16.5 PPG) adding consistent secondary scoring.

LAC has won the rebounding battle in all four games, and is +23 on the glass in its first four games. French center Moussa Diabaté, the #43 pick in the 2022 draft, is averaging a team-high 7.8 RPG.

LA Clippers vs Memphis Grizzlies

There is more name-value on the Grizzlies’ roster – and more NBA experience – but based on Summer League performances to date, it’s hard to justify the Clippers catching five points against anyone. They have a true go-to scorer in Miller and arguably the best frontcourt in Summer League between Brown and Diabaté.

I will gladly take the Clippers to stay unbeaten at significant plus-money.

LAC vs MEM pick: Clippers moneyline (+185)
