If the Golden State Warriors (24-23, 14-12 home) plan to move into the Western Conference’s 10 postseason slots, then winning games like Friday’s against the visiting Phoenix Suns (24-22, 9-13 away) is a must. Phoenix starts Friday in ninth, just a half game up on the Dubs, who are currently sitting in 11th. Action tips off from Chase Center in San Francisco at 10pm ET, with ESPN carry the broadcast coverage. It’s been an even head-to-head so far this season, part of the reason the books have kept this one pretty close in the NBA odds.

Suns vs Warriors Odds

The Dubs are slight 1.5-point home favorites, with the Suns a light +100 underdog on the moneyline. The total comes it at 226.5, with -110 odds on either side of the score.

Phoenix comes into ‘Frisco without a single player on its injury report, while the Warriors will again be without forward Draymond Green (calf) and Jonathan Kuminga (ankle).

PHX vs GSW Player Props

NBA player props from DraftKings Sportsbook on January 31.

The 1-2 combination of Devin Booker (26.5 points) and Kevin Durant (25.5) top the scoring props Friday, with Golden State’s Steph Curry the only Warriors player in the 20-point range at 23.5.

The Suns’ supposed other piece of the Big Three, Bradley Beal, is getting just a 12.5 scoring line, a product of recently being moved to the bench unit.

Notable that Andrew Wiggins — who has led Golden State in scoring in three of the last five games — sits at a very gettable 19.5 points.

Phoenix big man Nick Richards has the highest rebounding prop at 8.5 boards, while Curry and Booker are tied for the top assist total at 6.5. Steph rules above all in 3-point shooting, with a 4.5 make line.

Suns vs Warriors Prediction

  • Suns vs Warriors pick: Suns -1.5 (-110)
  • Suns vs Warriors prop bet: Beal Over 12.5 points (-120)

Golden State will be seeking its first 3-game win streak since taking out OKC, Dallas and Memphis in mid-November to go to 10-2 on the season. If that seems like a while ago, it was: the Dubs have gone 14-21 since.

The good news is they have won two straight and three of the last four, including absorbing a Shai Gilgeous-Alexander 50-bomb and still beating the West-leading Thunder 116-109.

This isn’t your heyday Warriors, as they rank in the bottom half of the league in scoring, putting up just 111.3 points per game. But their defense is allowing 111.2 points, limiting opponents to 45.9% shooting from the field and 35.6% from 3-point range, which are all Top 10 figures.

It’s about the best they can do for now: keep things close and hope Steph can carry them past the finish line, as they wait for Green and Kuminga to return and give them more of everything.

The Suns just had their three-game win streak snapped by the Timberwolves, closing out a three-game homestand before hitting the road for four straight.

You’d think that a roster with Kevin Durant and Devin Booker would set the stage for a high-octane offense, but even Mike Budenholzer can only get them to 14th in scoring at 112.7 points per game. While their defense is 18th allowing 113.7 points per game, allowed just 100.7 points per game to power their recent win streak.

Phoenix has been a better bet in this head-to-head, going 7-3 straight up, and 8-2-0 against the spread over the last 10 meetings.

They’ve split two meetings this year, with Phoenix taking a 113-105 home win on November 30, and the Warriors returning the favor 109-105 at Chase Center on Dec 28.

When the Warriors did beat the Suns, Durant and Booker combined for 59 points, but Kuminga erupted for 34 to help Steph. Green also added 16 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.

Without those guys, I just don’t think Curry has enough scoring support to keep up with KD and Book.

The Phoenix Suns will face off against the Golden State Warriors on January 31st in what is sure to be an exciting matchup between two Western Conference powerhouses. Both teams have been playing well this season, with the Suns currently sitting at the top of the conference standings and the Warriors not far behind in fourth place.

When it comes to predictions for this game, it’s always tough to say for sure how things will play out. However, based on recent performances and overall team strengths, the Suns may have a slight edge in this matchup. They have been playing some of the best basketball in the league this season, with their dynamic duo of Devin Booker and Chris Paul leading the way. The Warriors, on the other hand, have been dealing with injuries to key players like Klay Thompson and Draymond Green, which could impact their performance in this game.

In terms of picks, betting on the Suns to come out on top could be a safe bet. They have been playing with a lot of confidence and have shown that they can compete with any team in the league. However, the Warriors are always a tough team to count out, especially with Stephen Curry leading the charge. It could be a close game that comes down to the wire.

When it comes to player props, keep an eye on Devin Booker and Stephen Curry. Both players are capable of putting up big numbers on any given night and could be key factors in determining the outcome of this game. Booker has been on a tear recently, averaging over 25 points per game, while Curry is always a threat from beyond the arc.
