The 2025 NFC Championship Game will be an all-NFC East affair as the Washington Commanders (14-5, 7-3 away, 12-6-1 ATS) visit the Philadelphia Eagles (16-3, 10-1 home, 13-6 ATS) at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday, January 26 (3:00 pm ET kickoff). The Eagles opened as sizable favorites last Sunday night and the line has only grown over the past three days.
Commanders vs Eagles Odds (NFC Championship Game)
Team | Spread | Moneyline | Over/Under |
---|---|---|---|
Washington Commanders | +6.5 (-120) | +220 | O 47.5 (-110) |
Philadelphia Eagles | -6.5 (-102) | -280 | U 47.5 (-110) |
As of Wednesday night, the Eagles were sitting as 6.5-point home favorite and -280 on the moneyline in the NFL odds for conference-championship weekend. The Commanders were +220 underdogs to win straight-up, while the game total was 47.5.
Odds as of Jan. 22 at FanDuel.
The Eagles head into the conference championships as the slight favorite in the Super Bowl 59 odds at +180. The Commanders are the longest shot on the board of the four remaining teams at +850. Two-time defending-champion Kansas City is +220 while Buffalo is +260.
WSH Commanders vs PHI Eagles Line Movement
The current odds have undergone some pretty sizable shifts since last Sunday night. The Commanders vs Eagles spread opened a Philadelphia -4.5 and, thus, has been bet up a full two points. It’s well within the realm of possibility that the Eagles will be laying a whole touchdown by kickoff on Sunday.
The Philadelphia moneyline opened at -238 (70.41% implied win probability) before being bet up to -280 (73.68% implied win probability). The Commanders, in turn, have seen their moneyline price grow from +195 (33.90%) to +220 (31.25%).
It’s not surprising to see bettors flock to the Eagles. Not only have they won nine straight home games since a Week 2 loss to Atlanta, they also ran the ball down Washington’s throat in both of their regular-season meetings. The Commanders managed a 36-33 comeback win in their home game against the Eagles, but the way the two regular-season meetings played out doesn’t bode well for Washington.
The Commanders vs Eagles weather forecast isn’t terrible, but throwing the ball on the freezing, potentially snowy turf at the Linc won’t be nearly as easy as running it. Philadelphia manhandled Washington at the line of scrimmage in both games.
The Commanders/Eagles game total has also moved significantly since the opening lines were released. After opening at 48.5 O/U with -110 odds both ways, the total has been bet down to 47.5, still with -110 odds each way. On top of that, the NFL public betting percentages show that 82% of money and 87% of tickets are on the under so far, meaning there is a good chance the total gets even lower in the next few days.
Washington Commanders vs Philadelphia Eagles Picks
I have been on the Eagles since the lines opened. Back on Monday, I included Philadelphia -6.5 at plus-money in my best early bets to target this weekend.
I don’t like the price nearly as much now as I did a few days ago, but I still have every confidence that the Eagles are going to control this game from start to finish. When these teams met at the Linc back in Week 11, Philadelphia out-gained Washington 434 yards to just 264. Rookie QB Jayden Daniels threw for just 171 yards on 32 pass attempts while the Commander ground game was held to just 93 yards on 28 attempts (3.3 YPC).
The final score, 26-18, flattered Washington, which scored a garbage-time touchdown in the final minute to technically make it a one-score game.
On defense, the Commanders were completely overmatched at the line of scrimmage. Saquon Barkley ripped off 146 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries, while Kenneth Gainwell added another 43 yards on just four carries. Altogether, the Eagles ran for 228 total yards at a 5.7 YPC clip.
That wasn’t a one-off bad game for the Washington front seven, either. The Commanders finished the year rated fourth-worst in the NFL in rush defense at PFF.
Pick: Eagles -6.5 (-110)

The NFC Championship Game between the Washington Commanders and the Philadelphia Eagles is shaping up to be a highly anticipated matchup. Both teams have had strong seasons and are looking to secure a spot in the Super Bowl.
As the game approaches, bettors and fans alike are closely monitoring the odds, picks, and line movement to get a better understanding of how the game may play out.
Currently, the odds for the game are fairly even, with both teams having a solid chance of coming out on top. The Commanders are currently slight favorites, with odds of -120, while the Eagles are underdogs with odds of +110. This indicates that oddsmakers believe the Commanders have a slightly better chance of winning, but the Eagles are not far behind.
In terms of picks, experts are split on who will come out victorious in this matchup. Some believe that the Commanders’ strong defense and balanced offense will give them the edge, while others think that the Eagles’ high-powered offense led by quarterback Jalen Hurts will be too much for Washington to handle.
The line movement for the game has been relatively stable, with only minor fluctuations leading up to kickoff. This indicates that bettors are evenly split on which team will cover the spread, which is currently set at -2.5 in favor of the Commanders.
Overall, this NFC Championship Game is shaping up to be a close and competitive matchup between two talented teams. Bettors should keep a close eye on the odds, picks, and line movement leading up to kickoff to make informed decisions on their bets. Regardless of the outcome, football fans can expect an exciting game with plenty of action on both sides of the ball.
