Top NFL Player Prop Bets for Christmas Matchups: Chiefs vs Steelers & Ravens vs Texans

  • The lord has blessed us with two NFL games on Christmas Day this year
  • NFL Player Props are my favorite way to take these things in so we’ll look there for some action
  • Here are my favorite player props for each NFL game on Dec. 25

When I was a kid, Christmas Day meant betting on the NBA. It was just what we did and it was glorious. Everyone knew that Christmas Day belonged to the NBA and they were happy about it. Fast-forward to today and the NBA has a little competition. The NFL has all of a sudden started throwing games on Christmas Day and it’s noticeable. The thing is, we shouldn’t be mad at the NFL. They’re only trying to give us more to bet on here. That’s not a bad thing. On top of that, we’re getting marquee games. We’re talking the Pittsburgh Steelers vs Kansas City Chiefs, then after that, the Baltimore Ravens vs Houston Texans. This could easily be the greatest Christmas of our entire lives.

NFL Christmas Day Player Prop Picks

Hollywood Brown Is Back

The situation I was most happy about over the summer was Hollywood Brown going to the Kansas City Chiefs. It’s always fun to see what Patrick Mahomes can do with another weapon. It just is. But then, Brown got hurt and we the people were robbed.

The thing is, people heal and that’s exactly what Brown did. He’s back.

Obviously we weren’t really sure what to expect last week when Hollywood came back. He had not played since August so who knew what he would look like. For that reason, he was a guy that we didn’t want to bet last week. It would have been irresponsible of us and we’re nothing if not responsible.

Obviously now looking back on last week, we should have gotten down. The Chiefs clearly wanted to bring Hollywood along slowly since he only played 27% of the snaps. At the same time, in that time on the field, he was targeted eight times. Kansas City obviously wants to get him the ball.

This week we should see an elevated snap count for Hollywood. That should mean more production. On top of that, the Steelers are a borderline ripe target since they’ve allowed the 11th most receiving yards to wideouts this season. Translation, Hollywood is going for way more than 39 receiving yards on Christmas Day.

Joe Mixon Will Need To Use His Hands

Sometimes we forget about the OGs when it comes to the running back position. We’ve trained our brains into thinking the running back spot is dead. On top of that, it’s even more dead when guys get older. It’s a damn shame if you ask me.

We can’t forget that some guys age like fine wine especially when they can go multiple things. Joe Mixon has been a complete back for years now.

The thing with Mixon is, the Texans want the ball in his hands. It’s obvious with how many touches he gets. If he’s not getting 20+ carries, he’s getting 5+ targets. We’ve all seen that happen. It’s just how the Texans roll.

I think Houston will need Mixon’s hands in their Christmas Day battle with the Baltimore Ravens. For starters, the Texans just lost Tank Dell for the season. Obviously his position will be filled by a receiver, but his production could easily shift to a guy like Mixon. Even if it’s just one target, we’ll take it. That’s just how we roll.

On top of all that, game-script and opponent should mean something in this thing. The Texans are 5.5-point underdogs to the Ravens so they are expected to play from behind. If/when the Texans are forced to throw, it’s nice to know the Ravens have allowed the third-most receiving yards to the running back position this season. Joe Mixon could easily go for 19+ receiving yards in this thing.

As the holiday season approaches, football fans are gearing up for some exciting Christmas Day matchups in the NFL. Two of the most anticipated games on the schedule are the Kansas City Chiefs vs Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens vs Houston Texans. While these games are sure to be thrilling to watch, they also present a great opportunity for bettors to get in on the action with player prop bets.

Player prop bets are wagers that are placed on specific outcomes or performances by individual players during a game. These bets can add an extra level of excitement to watching the game and can also be a great way to potentially win some money. With that in mind, let’s take a look at some of the top player prop bets for the Christmas Day matchups between the Chiefs and Steelers, and the Ravens and Texans.

For the Chiefs vs Steelers game, one player to keep an eye on is Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes is known for his ability to make big plays and put up impressive numbers, so a prop bet on him throwing for over 300 yards or multiple touchdowns could be a smart play. On the Steelers side, wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster is a player to watch. A prop bet on him scoring a touchdown or racking up a certain number of receiving yards could pay off big.

In the Ravens vs Texans game, all eyes will be on Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson. Jackson is a dynamic player who can make plays with both his arm and his legs, so prop bets on him throwing for a certain number of yards or rushing for a touchdown could be worth considering. On the Texans side, wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is always a threat to make big plays. Prop bets on him scoring a touchdown or having a certain number of receptions could be good options.

Of course, it’s important to remember that prop bets are not guaranteed to pay off, so it’s always a good idea to do your research and consider all factors before placing a wager. That being said, Christmas Day NFL matchups are always exciting, and adding some player prop bets to the mix can make them even more thrilling to watch. So grab your eggnog, settle in on the couch, and get ready for some holiday football action with these top player prop bets for the Chiefs vs Steelers and Ravens vs Texans games.
