It’s a prime-time showdown between the SEC and Big Ten, as the 9th-ranked Tennessee Volunteers travel to Columbus to battle the 8th-seeded Ohio State Buckeyes in the College Football Playoff. The winner gets a quarterfinal date with top-ranked and undefeated Oregon at the Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day.
Both of these schools can light it up offensively, each ranking second in scoring in their respective conferences. That gives you plenty of options to put together a same-game parlay for Saturday night.

Howard Rebounds, While Judkins Struggles
It was the worst possible time for Ohio State pivot Will Howard to deliver his worst statistical passing game of the year in a crushing 13-10 season-finale defeat to Michigan.
Howard threw for 175 yards on a 57.6% completion rate, both season lows, while throwing a season-high two interceptions. Not exactly the send-off game to the CFP Buckeyes fans envisioned.
However, if OSU can get right mentally, they can treat that Nov 30 debacle as an outlier. That’s how we’re approaching Howard’s TD pass prop.
Prior to his single TD pass against the Wolverines, he’d thrown at least two TD’s in nine straight games. Tennesse’s elite defense is going to force the Buckeyes to have to make some throws, and you’re getting plus odds in this spot.

However, the Buckeyes’ passing will be a direct result of a struggling run game, part of why we’re taking the Under on OSU rushing leader Quinshon Judkins’ 54.5-yard total.
The Buckeyes ran for just 77 yards against Michigan, and now they face a supercharged version of that kind of front in Tennessee, who allow just 99.6 yards on the ground (8th).
Judkins has rushed for less than 50 yards in three of his last four outings and five of the last seven overall.
The Volunteers are not the get-right opponent for Judkins to rediscover his form.
Sampson Churns Out Ground Yards
For Tennessee, the bread and butter of their offense is running back Dylan Sampson, who has rushed for 1,485 yards and 22 touchdowns this season.
He leads a rushing attack that ranks ninth in the nation, putting up 232.5 yards per game, and they’ll go head-to-head with OSU and its 7th-ranked run defense, which holds teams to 96.8 yards.

The difference, though, is that Sampson has shown up in all the big games, which should be a good indicator of how he’ll perform on this big stage.
Against 12th-ranked Georgia, Sampson ran for 101 yards on 19 carries, 139 yards on 26 totes against then-7th Alabama, 92 yards against Oklahoma (15th at the time) and 132 yards on then no. 24 NC State.
Sampson has cracked the 100-yard plateau in seven of his last eight outings, missing only against UTEP as he took just 11 carries for 77 yards in a 56-0 blowout win.
- The SGP (+501): Howard Over 1.5 TD passes (+106) + Judkins Under 54.5 rushing yards (-114) + Sampson Over 91.5 rushing yards (-114)

With the Ohio State Buckeyes set to take on the Tennessee Volunteers in a highly anticipated matchup on Saturday, December 21, many sports bettors are looking to capitalize on the excitement by creating a same-game parlay. A same-game parlay allows bettors to combine multiple bets on a single game, increasing the potential payout if all bets are successful.
When creating a same-game parlay for the Ohio State vs Tennessee matchup, there are a few key factors to consider. First and foremost, it’s important to do thorough research on both teams, including their recent performance, key players, and any injuries that may impact the game.
Next, take a look at the betting options available for the game. This could include bets on the point spread, total points scored, player props, and more. Consider which bets you feel most confident in and how they might complement each other in a parlay.
For example, if you believe Ohio State will win the game and cover the spread, you could include both of those bets in your parlay. You could also consider adding a player prop bet on a key player from either team, such as total points scored by Ohio State’s leading scorer or total rebounds for Tennessee’s star forward.
It’s important to remember that same-game parlays can be riskier than traditional bets, as all of your selections must be correct in order to win. However, the potential payout is often higher, making them an attractive option for bettors looking to maximize their winnings.
As you create your same-game parlay for the Ohio State vs Tennessee matchup, be sure to carefully consider each bet and how they might interact with one another. By doing your research and making informed decisions, you can increase your chances of success and potentially walk away with a big payout on game day.
