  • The Bears have lost five in a row while the Lions have won an NFL-best nine straight games
  • See a three-leg Bears vs Lions same-game parlay for Thanksgiving

The flailing Chicago Bears (4-7 SU, 6-4-1 ATS) and surging Detroit Lions (10-1, 9-2 ATS) meet in the early game on Thanksgiving Day with kickoff slated for 12:30 pm ET at Ford Field in Detroit. The Bears vs Lions odds favor Detroit by as many as 10.5 points in what’s expected to be a landslide tenth-straight victory for the Super Bowl-favorite Lions. In order to maintain interest in what could be a blowout, let’s craft a Bears vs Lions same-game parlay, just to be sure the first game of the day doesn’t get turned off.

Bears vs Lions Same-Game Parlay

Pick Odds
Game Total Over 40.5 Points -310
Jared Goff  Over 199.5 Passing Yards -470

Bears vs Lions SGP Pick #1: Game Total Over 40.5 Points

The first leg of today’s CHI/DET SGP is over the alt-total 40.5 points, which is eight points lower than the standard total of 48.5. The Lions, on their own, are averaging an NFL-best 32.7 PPG. The Bears do have a solid defense, but will get to feast on a subpar Chicago defense today. The Bears have a solid defense, but so did the Vikings (31-29 Lions win) and the Texans (26-24 Lions win).

Jared Goff and company can hang points on literally anyone this season, and on the fast track at Ford Field, there will be more than enough points scored today to get us over this alt-total. The Lions are putting up 37.6 points per game on their home turn, including two 50-burgers against Tennessee and Jacksonville, plus a 42-29 rout of Seattle.

CHI vs DET Same-Game Parlay Pick #2: Jared Goff 199.5 Passing Yards

Somewhat correlated with our alt-total pick is Jared Goff to go over his alt-passing yardage number of 199.5. Goff has had a few quiet games this season, largely when the Lions haven’t needed him to sling it around. He somehow only threw for 85 yards in Detroit’s 52-14 win over Tennessee. But he’s still averaging 262.6 YPG at home, and the Bears are allowing 209.3 passing yards per game on average.

Unless there are multiple defensive scores by the Lions and they have no use for Goff’s arm, he’ll get over this number with ease.

For what it’s worth, my colleague Eric Rosales included Goff over 1.5 TDs as one of his best Bears vs Lions player props to target today.

Bears vs Lions SGP Pick #3: Amon-Ra St Brown Over 39.5 Receiving Yards

The last leg of today’s Bears/Lions same-game parlay is Detroit WR1 to go over the modest total of 39.5 yards. St Brown is eighth in the NFL this season with 747 yards in 11 games (67.9 YPG) and he’s gone over 40 yards in eight of 11 contests, including four straight and five of his last six.

The real reason to feel very confident in this bet is the number of targets the USC product gets. With 85 targets on the year, St Brown has nearly double that of any other player on the team, despite Detroit’s embarrassment of offensive riches. Second is Jameson Williams at just 48.

With Goff over 199.5 already on the ticket, it makes an abundance of sense to add his top target going over another very modest total.

Thanksgiving Day is always a special time for football fans, as they get to enjoy a full day of NFL action while also indulging in delicious food and spending time with loved ones. One of the most anticipated matchups this year is the game between the Chicago Bears and the Detroit Lions.

Both teams have had their fair share of struggles this season, with the Bears sitting at a 3-7 record and the Lions at 0-9-1. However, that doesn’t mean this game won’t be exciting to watch, especially for those looking to add some extra excitement by placing a same-game parlay bet.

A same-game parlay is a type of bet where you can combine multiple outcomes from the same game into one wager, potentially increasing your payout if all of your selections hit. For this particular matchup, there are several key factors to consider when putting together a same-game parlay.

First and foremost, both teams have struggled offensively this season. The Bears are averaging just 16.7 points per game, while the Lions are averaging 16.8 points per game. This could lead to a low-scoring affair, making the under on the total points a viable option for your parlay.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Bears have been slightly better than the Lions, allowing 24.6 points per game compared to Detroit’s 27.6 points per game. Considering the struggles of both offenses, taking the under on total points scored by both teams could also be a smart play.

When it comes to player props, keep an eye on Bears quarterback Justin Fields and Lions running back D’Andre Swift. Fields has shown flashes of potential as a dual-threat quarterback, so taking the over on his rushing yards could be a good bet. As for Swift, he has been one of the lone bright spots for the Lions this season, so taking the over on his total yards from scrimmage could also pay off.

In conclusion, when analyzing the Bears vs Lions same-game parlay for Thanksgiving Day, consider betting on the under for total points scored by both teams, as well as player props for Justin Fields and D’Andre Swift. By carefully selecting your bets and doing your research, you could potentially cash in on some big winnings while enjoying a day full of football and turkey.
