Two NFC teams jockeying for position at the top of their respective divisions clash when the Minnesota Vikings visit the LA Rams on TNF. Minnesota is in a dead heat at 5-1 with the the Lions in the North, while the Rams can move to within a game of first in the car crash that is the NFC West. The Vikes are 3-point road favorites in the Vikings vs Rams odds, and they can put up points, ranking Top 6 in NFL scoring.
But the Rams, a bottom-ten scoring offense, will be getting star receiver Cooper Kupp back, adding intrigue as we choose our NFL player props.
Of course, all-world Justin Jefferson lines up on the other side of the ball – can Sam Darnold stay hot? Or is the shine starting to already fade on his primo start?

Vikings vs Rams Player Prop #1: Darnold Passing Yards
Whether you’re a Sam Darnold believer or not, you have to credit Kevin O’Connell for putting him in positions to be successful.
Darnold has struggled against defenses that rank Top 10 in passing yards, going under his total of 246.5 set for Thursday against the Jets (2nd), Giants (4th) and Texans (6th).
However, against the Lions (27th), 49ers (16th) and Packers (15th), Darnold has thrown for 259 yards or better.
The Rams are 18th in pass yards against, and while they’ve held up of late against Gardner Minshew, Jordan Love and Caleb Williams, Minnesota offers up a bevy of weapons, and Darnold should be comfortable picking keeping them well fed.
- Vikings vs Rams Prop Pick: Darnold OVER 246.5 yards passing (-120); risk 1 unit at DraftKings
MIN vs LAR Player Prop #2: Kupp Longest Reception
The Vikings are demons at stopping the run, allowing just 80 yards per game, but their pass defense has been a Bottom-3 unit in the NFL, surrendering 260.3 yards per game.
Part of that is giving up big chunk plays, and Matthew Stafford has his Cooper Kupp back from injury to play pitch and catch with for the first time since Week 2.
Minnesota has given up a pass play of 22 yards or greater in every game this season, and three games with at least three such plays.
Bet on that trend to continue Thursday.
- Vikings vs Rams Prop Picks: Kupp Longest reception OVER 21.5 yards (-120); risk 1 unit at DraftKings

Seeking more juice? Jordan Addison has scored at least one touchdown in three of the Vikings’ last four road games.
