Top NFL Player Prop Bets for Week 6 Sunday Games (Oct. 13)

  • The NFL is back with another monster slate for Week 6 on Sunday, October 13th, 2024
  • A great way to get in on the action is by betting NFL player props
  • See below to find two of my favorite player props to bet for Week 6

We demolished the books last Sunday and if we’re being honest, we can do this every weekend. Taking the opening numbers on the player props every week seems to be getting easier and easier. It’s almost like the books want us to get rich. It’s crazy.

This week we’ve got four different windows to bet, so we might as well use them all. First, at 9:30 am ET, we’re going to see a matchup between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Chicago Bears. Obviously we need action on that. Then at 4:25 pm ET, the Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys are going to get it on. If we play our cards right, we could end up with stacks of cash while being thoroughly entertained. I like to call that the jackpot.

What’s better is, I think we have a play in both of those games that could easily get us into the Gambling Hall of Fame. First ballot.

Caleb Williams Is About To Go Off

Caleb Williams was the first pick of the NFL Draft last year. Everyone already knows he is good. So far this season, he’s looked like a rookie at times and at others, he’s looked like what everyone thought he was going to be.

But last week, the guy literally looked like Houdini.

Here’s the thing, we can’t watch one play and then put the kid in the Hall of Fame. That would be dumb. But what we can do, is look for a good matchup and then back him before the books catch on to the fact that he’s good. We have that opportunity this week.

So far this season, only one team in the NFL has given up more passing yards to the quarterback position than the Jacksonville Jaguars. That’s it. This could be because they are good against the run, but only time will tell on that one. Right now, only five teams are better in the opponent yards per rush attempt metric so there is that.

The point is, we could be looking at a pass funnel here people. And if that’s the case, Caleb has more than enough weapons to exploit such a situation. Even if the Jags aren’t a pass funnel, we still have enough ways to get home on 250+. Feels right.

  • The Pick: Caleb Williams 250+ Passing Yards (+118) – FanDuel

Jalen Tolbert Might Be a Thing

All we have to do in the sports betting world is look for the next “thing”. That’s it. Guys get hurt all the time and then new guys come along and take their place. It’s on us to watch the new guys and figure out if they are a “thing” or not.

Lucky for us, we got to watch one young guy grow up on Sunday Night Football last week.

Jalen Tolbert came alive last week. We all saw him do it. What’s pretty sweet is, he did it against a pretty good Pittsburgh Steelers defense. Before the haters come in and say “Pittsburgh’s defense isn’t that good, please note that I said pretty good.” Not great.

The defense Jalen and the Cowboys will see Sunday is pretty, not good. The Detroit Lions may be able to stop the run, but they can’t defend the pass for anything. Only three teams in the entire NFL have allowed more receptions to the receiver position than Detroit. ALL three of those teams have played one more game than the Lions. That’s bad.

Obviously this is good for CeeDee Lamb and Jake Ferguson, who should eat. But at the same time, we’re only needing five receptions for our new friend Jalen and we cash a +154 ticket. I think that is more than reasonable. Feels right.

  • The Pick: Jalen Tolbert 5+ Receptions (+154) – FanDuel

As we head into Week 6 of the NFL season, there are plenty of exciting matchups to look forward to on Sunday. While betting on the outcome of games is always popular, player prop bets offer a unique opportunity to wager on individual player performances. Here are some top NFL player prop bets to consider for the Sunday games on October 13th.

1. Patrick Mahomes – Over/Under 300.5 Passing Yards
The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback has been lighting up the stat sheet this season, averaging over 350 passing yards per game. With a matchup against the Houston Texans, who have struggled defensively, Mahomes could easily surpass the 300-yard mark once again.

2. Christian McCaffrey – Over/Under 125.5 Total Yards
The Carolina Panthers running back has been a dual-threat weapon for his team, racking up both rushing and receiving yards. Facing off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who have a solid defense but have shown vulnerabilities against the run, McCaffrey has a good chance of hitting the over on this prop bet.

3. Julio Jones – Over/Under 100.5 Receiving Yards
The Atlanta Falcons wide receiver is known for his big-play ability and has been a favorite target for quarterback Matt Ryan. Going up against the Arizona Cardinals, who have struggled to defend against the pass, Jones could easily eclipse the 100-yard mark in this game.

4. Aaron Rodgers – Over/Under 2.5 Touchdown Passes
The Green Bay Packers quarterback has been playing at a high level this season and has thrown multiple touchdown passes in each of his games so far. Facing the Detroit Lions, who have a middle-of-the-road pass defense, Rodgers could easily hit the over on this prop bet.

5. Dalvin Cook – Over/Under 75.5 Rushing Yards
The Minnesota Vikings running back has been one of the top rushers in the league this season, averaging over 100 yards per game. Going up against the Philadelphia Eagles, who have struggled to stop the run, Cook has a good chance of hitting the over on this prop bet.

When placing bets on player props, it’s important to consider factors such as matchups, injuries, and recent performance. By doing your research and staying informed, you can increase your chances of making successful wagers on these top NFL player prop bets for Week 6 Sunday games. Good luck!
