Royals vs Yankees Odds

The top-seeded New York Yankees have opened as big -230 favorites in their best-of-five series with the Kansas City Royals. The over under lists under has been set at 4.5 (O +172/U -215).

The Royals and Yankees split their six regular-season meetings three games apiece.

Kansas City dispatched the Orioles in Baltimore in the minimum two games in the Wild Card round, limiting the O’s to just one run over 18 innings, though they only managed three runs, themselves, in a pair of one-run victories (1-0, 2-1).

Game 1 will be played on Saturday at 6:38 pm ET at Yankee Stadium. Gerrit Cole (3.41 ERA, 1.13 WHIP), the 2023 AL Cy Young-winner, is slated to start for New York. The Royals, who used top-two starters Cole Ragans and Seth Ludo in the Wild Card round, will likely turn to #3 starter Brady Singer (3.71 ERA, 1.27 WHIP).

Tigers vs Guardians Odds

The Detroit Tigers, one of the hottest teams in the final quarter of the regular season, kept up their momentum against the Houston Astros in the Wild Card round, winning two straight in Houston (3-1, 5-2) to sweep the best-of-three.

Detroit will now face their AL Central rivals from Cleveland in the ALDS. Cleveland won seven of 13 games against the Tigers in the regular season, including the last two. But the teams haven’t seen each other since the end of July.

Cleveland has opened as a very modest -120 favorite with the Tigers coming back at just +102. Like the Royals/Yankees series, Tigers vs Guardians will also start with Game 1 on Saturday. Detroit and Cleveland will play a matinee at 1:08 pm ET.

Tanner Bibee (3.47 ERA, 1.12 WHIP) is listed as the probable starter for the Guardians. The Tigers, whose pitching depth has been hammered by injuries, went with a bullpen game in the series finale against the O’s after presumptive AL Cy Young-winner Tarik Skubal dominated Game 1.

It’s unclear who manager AJ Hinch will hand the ball to in the opener against the Guardians.

As the MLB Division Series kicks off, fans are gearing up for some exciting matchups in both the American League Division Series (ALDS) and the National League Division Series (NLDS). In the ALDS, the New York Yankees will face off against the Kansas City Royals, while the Cleveland Guardians will take on the Detroit Tigers.

The Yankees come into the series as the favorites, boasting a strong lineup led by sluggers Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton. The Royals, on the other hand, have been a surprise team this season, led by a solid pitching staff and timely hitting. The odds currently favor the Yankees to advance to the next round, but the Royals have shown they are capable of pulling off an upset.

In the other ALDS matchup, the Guardians will be looking to continue their strong season against the Tigers. The Guardians have a balanced lineup and a solid pitching staff, while the Tigers have relied on their young talent to carry them this far. The odds slightly favor the Guardians in this series, but the Tigers have shown they can compete with anyone on any given day.

In the NLDS, the matchups are equally intriguing, with the San Francisco Giants taking on the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Milwaukee Brewers facing off against the Atlanta Braves. The Giants and Dodgers have been battling it out all season for the top spot in the NL West, and this series is sure to be a heated one. The odds are currently favoring the Dodgers to advance, but the Giants have proven they can compete with anyone.

In the other NLDS matchup, the Brewers will be looking to continue their strong pitching and timely hitting against the Braves. The Braves have a potent lineup led by Freddie Freeman and Ronald Acuna Jr., but the Brewers’ pitching staff may prove to be too much for them to handle. The odds slightly favor the Brewers in this series, but the Braves have shown they can be dangerous when they get hot.

Overall, the MLB Division Series is shaping up to be an exciting one, with plenty of close matchups and potential upsets. Fans will be on the edge of their seats as they watch their favorite teams battle it out for a chance to advance to the League Championship Series. Stay tuned for what is sure to be some thrilling baseball action in the coming days.
