  • The Los Angeles Dodgers aim to clinch the series against the San Francisco Giants at 10:10 p.m. ET Wednesday night from Dodger Stadium.
  • The Dodgers have played excellent defense all series, allowing the Giants just 4 runs across 2 games.
  • See the best picks, odds and a prediction for Wednesday’s game below.

The Los Angeles Dodgers look to clinch a 2nd straight series win against the San Francisco Giants Wednesday night. The Dodgers, who swept the Red Sox in the series prior to this, won their first 2 battles against their in-state rivals and have 2 games to go in a 4-game week.

Giants pitcher Robbie Ray will make his San Francisco debut on Wednesday against the Dodgers, facing off against Los Angeles ace Tyler Glasnow.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. San Francisco Giants Prediction

  • SF vs. LAD pick: Dodgers -1.5 (+115)

All respect to MLB veteran Robbie Ray, but the Dodgers have every advantage in tonight’s matchup. Glasnow is one of the best pitchers in baseball and was rock solid before going on IL. He returns from the IL tonight, but I don’t expect him to skip a beat against a Giants team that has been the definition of average at the plate this season and well below average this series in Los Angeles.

The first matchups in this series were respectable, but this one may not be. Expect the Dodgers to take care of business and secure a 2nd straight series win.

Dodgers vs. Giants Odds

Team Runline Moneyline Total
San Francisco Giants +1.5 (-135) +158 O 8 (+100)
Los Angeles Dodgers -1.5 (+115) -190 U 8 (-120)

Odds above via Caesars Sportsbook. Check out our Caesars Promo Code for a look at one of the best welcome offers in the business.

The Dodgers are considerable favorites for tonight’s game, to be expected after winning games 1 and 2 at home. As stated above, the Dodgers have the pitching advantage, power advantage and home advantage tonight.

Los Angeles sits at -190 to win outright and +115 to win by 2 or more runs. San Francisco sits at +158 ML and is -135 to win or keep the game within a run.

The Over/under for this matchup has shifted from night to night, as this series has been very low scoring. Caesars set the total at 8, though FanDuel and DraftKings have the total at a more bettor friendly 7.5. The under is favored at -120 on Caesars.

Both prior games in this series went under the posted total of 8 for Game 3 Wednesday.

Giants vs. Dodgers Best Value Player Props (July 24)

Player Props (Los Angeles vs. San Francisco) Odds
Shohei Ohtani O 1.5 Hits+Runs+RBIs -135
Robbie Ray U 4.5 Ks +120
Tyler Glasnow O 6.5 Ks -125

All odds above via DraftKings Sportsbook.

Ray looked solid in his rehab outings in San Jose, but Ohtani is effectively The Terminator. I just think Ohtani feasts tonight, and he has more ways than one to reach this total.

In the same boat, Ray threw a lot of strikeouts with Seattle and Toronto, but that was 2 years ago. He faces a Dodgers team tonight that sees the ball well and is working at home. I’m not saying Ray can’t hit this total, but the odds are definitely not in his favor.

Glasnow is one of the top strikeout throwers in Major League baseball, facing a lineup that has accrued nearly twice as many strikeouts as hits this series. Honestly, the 6.5 line feels about a K low to me.

However, the Dodgers have been on a hot streak lately and are currently leading the NL West division. With their strong lineup and solid pitching staff, they will be a tough team for the Giants to beat.

As for picks, one player to keep an eye on is Dodgers’ outfielder Mookie Betts. Betts has been a standout player for the team this season, hitting .282 with 14 home runs and 40 RBIs. He has the ability to change the game with his bat and his speed on the basepaths, making him a valuable asset for the Dodgers.

On the Giants side, look out for first baseman Brandon Belt. Belt has been having a solid season, hitting .253 with 10 home runs and 29 RBIs. He has been a consistent performer for the Giants and could play a key role in their success against the Dodgers.

When it comes to props for this game, one interesting bet to consider is the over/under on total runs scored. Both teams have strong offenses and capable pitching staffs, so this game could turn into a high-scoring affair. Another prop to target is the first team to score, as getting an early lead could be crucial in determining the outcome of the game.

Overall, this matchup between the Giants and Dodgers is sure to be an exciting one. With both teams fighting for playoff positioning, expect a competitive game with plenty of action on both sides.
