Happy Birthday, America.
As a treat, we’ve got a full 15-game lineup schedule for Thursday while everyone’s off work, grilling and celebrating. The slate features some great matchups too, including Atlanta vs. San Francisco, Orioles vs. Mariners and finishing with Diamondbacks vs. Dodgers in the late slot.
We’ve scoured the books for some of our favorite prop and game line bets available Thursday. Let’s dive in, shall we?
Best MLB Prop Bets (July 4)
Prop (Game) | Odds |
---|---|
Zach Eflin Under 3.5 Ks | +105 (DraftKings) |
Corbin Burnes Over 7.5 Ks | +100 (DraftKings) |
Nick Ahmed Over 0.5 hits | -145 (BetMGM) |
Eflin has been flying over this total in his recent starts with Tampa, eclipsing this total in 3 straight outings. But don’t let that fool you for this matchup. Eflin has really struggled against Kansas City when it comes to Ks, throwing just 1 strikeouts across 40 combined at-bats vs. the KC lineup (yes, 1). Not to mention, Kansas City is a fairly strikeout averse team this season.
On the other side of things, Seattle strikes out more than any team in the majors and Burnes has seen success against them in the past. He threw 11 Ks against the Mariners his last time up and with the way they see the ball, he could be in for double digits once again.
This one is a bit of a weird one, I know. But Ahmed has seen Charlie Morton relatively well across his career, batting .364 despite usually rounding out as a .238 hitter.
Best Game Lines For Today (July 4)
More interested in betting on game lines than scouring for the best lines for prop bets? Here are our favorite lines for July 4.
Phillies -1.5 vs. Cubs (+135 BetMGM)
It feels like the Cubs’ chance to take one in this series came yesterday with Shota Imanaga on the mound. Instead, Chicago once again struggled to score enough runs to down the juggernaut that is Philadelphia.
The Phillies face Jameson Taillon, who the top of the order has done very well against. Alec Bohm, Nick Castellanos and Bryson Stott have all hit above .400 against Taillon while the Cubs face Cristopher Sanchez, who will be facing most Cubs for the first time Thursday evening.
Red Sox -1.5 vs. Marlins (-155 DraftKings)
This is a similar situation to above. The Red Sox have been messing with their food down in Miami, winning Games 1 and 2 by a combined margin of 15-5. In addition, Miami batters are hitting just .235 against Nick Pavetta, with 6 Ks through 17 at-bats.
Red Sox -1.5 is probably a safe play at +105 on DraftKings, too.
Diamondbacks vs. Dodgers Under 8.5 (-115 DraftKings)
The D-Backs and Dodgers have gone over this total in 5 of 8 games so far during their regular season series, but the pitching matchup is on the under’s side today. Batters for both teams are hitting under .225 against LAD’s Landon Knack and ARI’s Zac Gallen.
Not to mention, both games in this current series have been over this total, meaning the under is due.

As we head into the holiday weekend, there are plenty of exciting MLB games on tap for Thursday, July 4th. Whether you’re looking to place a bet on the moneyline or get in on some player prop action, there are plenty of opportunities to cash in on the action. Here are some top MLB betting picks and player prop bets to consider for July 4th.
One game to keep an eye on is the matchup between the New York Yankees and the Tampa Bay Rays. The Yankees have been on a tear lately, winning seven of their last ten games. They’ll be sending Masahiro Tanaka to the mound, who has been solid this season with a 5-5 record and a 3.21 ERA. The Rays will counter with Blake Snell, who has struggled a bit this season with a 4-7 record and a 5.01 ERA. Look for the Yankees to come out on top in this one.
In terms of player prop bets, keep an eye on Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge. Judge has been swinging a hot bat lately, hitting .333 with three home runs and seven RBIs in his last seven games. Look for Judge to continue his hot streak and potentially hit a home run in this game.
Another game to watch is the matchup between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Dodgers have been dominant this season, boasting the best record in the National League. They’ll be sending Walker Buehler to the mound, who has been lights out with a 8-1 record and a 3.46 ERA. The Diamondbacks will counter with Merrill Kelly, who has been solid this season with a 7-7 record and a 3.93 ERA. Look for the Dodgers to come out on top in this one.
In terms of player prop bets, keep an eye on Dodgers outfielder Cody Bellinger. Bellinger has been one of the best hitters in baseball this season, leading the league in home runs and RBIs. Look for Bellinger to have a big game and potentially hit a home run in this matchup.
Overall, there are plenty of exciting MLB games to bet on for July 4th. Whether you’re looking to bet on the moneyline or get in on some player prop action, there are plenty of opportunities to cash in on the action. Good luck and happy betting!
