It’s down to a winner-take-all Game 7 between the visiting LA Clippers and the host Denver Nuggets, in what has been the most entertaining Round 1 series in these NBA Playoffs.
Denver is pegged as a slight 1.5-point favorite in the NBA odds, as they try to exorcise last year’s Game 7 collapse in Round 2, blowing a 20-point second-half lead to the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Clippers? They’re trying to win their first Game 7 on the road since 1978.
Game 7 tips off Saturday night at 7:30pm ET from Ball Arena in Denver, with TNT carrying the broadcast.

LA Clippers vs Denver Nuggets Picks
- Clippers vs Nuggets pick: Over 207 points (-112)
While the results have not all been close, the teams have split the most important stat: winning. Denver and LA split the regular season series 2-2, and with the Clippers’ 111-105 win in Game 6 at home, these teams have split the first six games of this series.
For the Clippers, Kawhi Leonard has been everything he was billed to be (finally) when he came over from the Toronto Raptors, fresh off a title and Finals MVP. He’s averaging 25.5 points on a crisp 54.5% shooting against Denver, adding eight boards and 5.2 assists.
James Harden has had his ups and downs in offensive support. After scoring in the teens in three of the last four games, he broke out in Game 6 with 28 points and eight dimes.
The big question will be who supports them? Ivica Zubac has averaged 18.7 points this series, but his priority in Game 7 is to body up Nikola Jokic. Norman Powell is coming off a series-best 24, but he’s only averaging 12.3 points on under 40% shooting in Denver.
Clippers vs Nuggets Statistical Matchup
The same question lurks for Denver behind Jokic, who we know will show up. Jamal Murray has done a reasonably good job in supporting his MVP teammate, putting up 24 points a game, and Russell Westbrook has been the only consistent scoring option off the bench, but he’s doing so with a high-shooting volume.
It’s been a disaster of a series for Michael Porter Jr, who’s gutting it out with a shoulder injury, but he’s only at 10.2 points per game. The best option might be Aaron Gordon, who has a game-winner on his resume, while averaging 18.3 points on 50.6% shooting.
These teams have hit the Over in two straight matchups, and they’ve crossed the 207 scoring line in all three games in the Mile High City.
There’s a chance for a slugfest, but I’m banking on some premier shot making and excellence of execution between a pair of teams that will leave it all out there for the chance to play the Thunder in Round 2.

Playing at home, Denver should be hopeful for an unlikely source coming through for them, and I’m targeting Porter Jr.
For all his struggles, the seventh-year man is still shooting a crisp 46.2% from 3-point range in this series, and he’s been solid at home, going 7-for-11 from behind the arc.
He’s topped his 1.5 make line three times in this series, with a triple away from going Over in the three other games. With nice +175 odds to nail two moneyballs, we’ll take the plunge on him connecting twice in the biggest game of Denver’s season.
- Clippers vs Nuggets player prop bet: Porter Jr Over 1.5 3-point makes (+175)

The highly anticipated Game 7 between the Los Angeles Clippers and the Denver Nuggets is set to take place, and fans are buzzing with excitement. Both teams have shown their strengths and weaknesses throughout the series, making it difficult to predict the outcome of this crucial game.
The Clippers, led by superstars Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, have been considered one of the favorites to win the NBA championship this season. However, they have struggled at times against the resilient Nuggets, who have shown great determination and skill in their playoff run.
On the other hand, the Nuggets, led by Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray, have proven themselves to be a formidable opponent. They have shown great resilience in their previous series against the Utah Jazz and have continued to fight hard against the Clippers.
In terms of picks and predictions for Game 7, it is a tough call. The Clippers have the star power and experience, but the Nuggets have shown that they are not to be underestimated. It could come down to which team can execute their game plan better and make key plays in crucial moments.
As for the odds, sportsbooks have the Clippers as slight favorites to win Game 7. However, anything can happen in a do-or-die game like this, and the Nuggets have shown that they are capable of pulling off upsets.
In conclusion, Game 7 between the Clippers and Nuggets is shaping up to be an intense and thrilling matchup. Both teams have what it takes to come out on top, and it will ultimately come down to who can perform under pressure. Fans can expect a nail-biting game with high stakes, as both teams battle it out for a spot in the Western Conference Finals.
