Let’s breakdown the latest UFC Kansas City odds, including how the lines have shifted and analyze some of the best bets for Saturday’s stacked main card.

Final UFC KC Predictions

Now that we’ve checked out how the odds have changed and where the smart money might be heading, here’s my final UFC Kansas City predictions for the main card.

Best Bet: Carlos Prates +5.5 (-165)

Carlos Prates has become a slightly bigger underdog since opening at +105, now sitting at +142. However, the best value in this fight is taking Prates +5.5 at -165 on the point spread. In a tight fight like this between two great welterweights, getting almost 6 points with a powerful finisher like Prates is definitely a smart bet.

Prates has looked sensational in his UFC run, scoring brutal knockouts of Neil Magny, Li Jingliang, and Charles Radtke with laser-like precision.

Garry has slowed his pace in recent decision wins, and any slip in aggression could prove costly against the predatory striking of the Brazilian. Look for Prates to close the distance and do damage, capitalizing on his killer instinct to secure, at worst, a close decision.

Best Bet: Under 1.5 Rounds (-188) Zhang Mingyang vs Anthony Smith

Zhang Mingyang is a monstrous -550 favorite over Anthony Smith, who comes back at +375 in this light heavyweight co-main event. Those wide odds have actually narrowed a bit, with Zhang now -360 and Smith +285.

But rather than lay the heavy juice on Zhang’s moneyline, the under 1.5 rounds at -188 is the sharper play. The undefeated Chinese prospect has stopped all 11 of his last opponents in the first round. Meanwhile, the 36-year-old Smith is coming off back-to-back losses and has been knocked out in 2 of his last 5 fights.

Zhang’s ferocious pace and finishing ability spell serious trouble for “Lionheart” at this stage of his career. Expect the explosive Zhang to swarm early and find the fight-ending shot within the first 7-8 minutes.

Value Play: Michel Pereira (-135) Beats Abus Magomedov

Michel Pereira’s line has shifted slightly from -125 to -135, but there’s still value on the flashy Brazilian against Abus Magomedov. Despite coming off a brutal TKO loss to Anthony Hernandez, Pereira’s athleticism, creativity, and explosive striking give him the edge here.

Magomedov is the lesser proven commodity, having lost to higher-level opposition in Sean Strickland and Joaquin Buckley. With a low striking output (2.65 per minute) and questionable cardio, Magomedov could struggle to match Pereira’s frenetic pace and unpredictability.

Look for the fight to start slow but for Pereira to turn up the heat as it progresses, staying just active and wild enough to sway the judges. The -125 for the fight to start Round 3 is an appealing prop as well if you expect Pereira’s gas tank to hold up better in a three-round affair.

Other UFC Kansas City Predictions & Bets:

  • David Onama (-205) outlasts Giga Chikadze; go with over 2.5 rounds (-175)
  • Randy Brown (-298) outpoints Nicolas Dalby; over 2.5 rounds (-345) the play

The UFC is set to make its return to Kansas City this Saturday, with a stacked main card featuring some of the biggest names in the sport. As fight fans gear up for what promises to be an action-packed night, let’s take a look at the latest odds and final predictions for the main card bouts.

In the main event, we have a highly anticipated flyweight title fight between champion Demetrious Johnson and challenger Wilson Reis. Johnson, who is widely regarded as one of the pound-for-pound best fighters in the world, comes into this bout as a heavy favorite with odds of -600. Reis, on the other hand, is a significant underdog with odds of +450. While Reis is a tough competitor with a solid ground game, it’s hard to see anyone dethroning “Mighty Mouse” Johnson at this point in his career. Prediction: Johnson by TKO in the third round.

In the co-main event, we have a strawweight showdown between Rose Namajunas and Michelle Waterson. Namajunas is coming off an impressive win over Paige VanZant and is looking to solidify her status as a top contender in the division. She is favored to win this bout with odds of -200, while Waterson is the underdog with odds of +170. Both fighters are skilled on the feet and on the ground, but Namajunas’ striking and submission game give her the edge in this matchup. Prediction: Namajunas by submission in the second round.

Another intriguing matchup on the main card is the middleweight bout between Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza and Robert Whittaker. Souza, a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt, is known for his elite grappling skills and has been a perennial contender in the division. He comes into this fight as the favorite with odds of -250, while Whittaker, a rising star in the division, is the underdog with odds of +210. Whittaker’s striking and takedown defense could pose problems for Souza, but ultimately Jacare’s experience and ground game should be enough to secure the victory. Prediction: Souza by submission in the first round.

Overall, the main card for UFC Kansas City is shaping up to be an exciting night of fights with some intriguing matchups. While anything can happen in MMA, based on the odds and fighters’ recent performances, it looks like Demetrious Johnson, Rose Namajunas, and Ronaldo Souza are the favorites to come out on top in their respective bouts. Make sure to tune in this Saturday to see all the action unfold live.
