The Miami Heat try to fight their way back into their Round 1 series when they take on the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 3 Saturday. The books don’t exactly like their chances against the East’s top team, pegging them as 5.5-point home underdogs in the NBA odds. Game 3 tips off at 1pm ET from the Kaseya Center in Miami, with TNT carrying the broadcast.

A few injuries to take note of in Game 3. For Cleveland, guard Darius Garland is listed as questionable as he deals with a toe strain.

Miami which enters the playoffs with the third-best NBA Championship odds at +600, doesn’t have anyone on its injured list.

As for Miami, Terry Rozier (ankle) has been ruled out, while Kevin Love (personal) remains out. He’s yet to play in this series.

Miami Heat vs Cleveland Cavaliers Picks

  • Heat vs Cavaliers pick: Cavaliers -5.5 (-110)

The highest scoring team in the regular season, the Cleveland Cavaliers, are keeping up the offensive pace in the post season, leading the league at 121 points through their two games.

The Cavaliers have been especially lethal from 3-point range, hitting at a crisp 45.5%. It was their main weapon of choice in Game 2’s 121-112 win, as Cleveland went 22-for-45 from downtown, a 49.9% clip.

The backcourt of Darius Garland and Donovan Mitchell was especially lethal, drilling 11-for-18 between the two of them. Mitchell has averaged 30 a game through the first two games of this series.

After scoring just 100 points in their Game 1 loss, Miami found better offensive flow and shot 51.9% from the field in Game 2. They lead the NBA in shooting through their two games, at 50.3%.

Cavaliers vs Heat Series Stats

However, they’re getting beat around the margins. Cleveland converted their 14 turnovers into 19 points, while the Heat mustered just six fast break points to the Cavaliers’ 17.

Tyler Herro has averaged 27 points through two games, shooting 50% from the field and 40% from 3-point range, but both Andrew Wiggins and Bam Adebayo are each shooting under 42% for the series.

They’re hoping a change of venue can shake things up, but Miami is just 19-22 at home on the year, one of two East teams with a losing home record.

They also happen to be going up against a Cleveland side that went 30-11 away from home, one of only two teams that have touched the 30-win clip on the road.

The good news is Miami is 9-6-0 against the spread as a home underdog. I just don’t think they have the firepower on offense or the answers on defense to keep up with the Cavaliers.

Cavaliers vs Heat prop bet: Davion Mitchell Over 11.5 points (-120)

The books aren’t showing much love to Davion Mitchell, as they’ve given him just an 11.5 scoring line for Saturday — even though he’s been clearly Miami’s second-best player in the series behind Herro.

Mitchell has gone for 18 points in back-to-back games in this series, and is shooting at incredible 7.14% from the field, while also averaging 7.5 assists.

Donovan Mitchell has been getting all the headlines for his play (deserving too), but Davion, who also wears no. 45, continues to fly under the radar.

As their best perimeter defender and most confident offensive role player, Mitchell should be able to top that figure — he’s scored at least 12 points in eight of his last 11 games.

Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Miami Heat is set to be an exciting matchup with both teams looking to gain the upper hand in the series. As we head into this crucial game, let’s take a look at some predictions, player props, and odds for this highly anticipated showdown.

The Cavaliers are coming off a dominant performance in Game 2, where they were able to even the series at 1-1 with a convincing 113-98 victory. LeBron James led the way for Cleveland with a triple-double, showcasing his all-around brilliance on both ends of the floor. Kevin Love also had a strong showing, contributing 20 points and 13 rebounds in the win.

On the other hand, the Heat will be looking to bounce back after a disappointing loss in Game 2. Jimmy Butler had a solid performance with 21 points, but Miami will need more production from their supporting cast if they want to come out on top in Game 3. Bam Adebayo will need to step up his game in the paint, while Tyler Herro and Duncan Robinson will need to knock down their shots from beyond the arc.

In terms of predictions, the Cavaliers are favored to win Game 3 with odds of -150, while the Heat are underdogs with odds of +130. Given Cleveland’s momentum from their Game 2 victory and LeBron James’ ability to take over games, it’s likely that the Cavaliers will come out on top in this matchup.

As for player props, look for LeBron James to have another big game for the Cavaliers. He has been a dominant force throughout the playoffs and will look to continue his stellar play in Game 3. Expect him to put up impressive numbers in points, rebounds, and assists as he looks to lead his team to victory.

For the Heat, keep an eye on Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo as key players who will need to step up their performances in Game 3. Butler has been a reliable scorer for Miami all season, while Adebayo’s presence in the paint will be crucial for the Heat’s success. Look for both players to have solid outings as they try to help their team secure a win.

In conclusion, Game 3 of the Cavaliers vs Heat series is shaping up to be a thrilling contest with plenty of storylines to follow. With predictions favoring the Cavaliers and key players to watch on both teams, fans can expect an intense battle between these two Eastern Conference contenders. Stay tuned for what promises to be an exciting matchup between these two talented teams.
