All odds as of Jan 20. Lock in this DraftKings promo code before betting on Commanders vs Lions on Saturday.

Commanders vs Lions Player Prop #1: Goff Passing Touchdowns

Goff was limited to one TD pass in the season finale against the Vikings, but that game was a slugfest.

Prior to that game, the Lions’ pivot had thrown for at least three touchdowns in four straight contests. Goff has also thrown for three or more scores in four of the last five at Ford Field.

Yes, Washington gets carved with the run, but that should open up some easy play action hits, especially in the red zone. Detroit unleashes the full repertoire Saturday, and Goff will be a main component of it.

  • Commanders vs Lions Prop Pick: Jared Goff OVER 2.5 TD passes (+135); risk 1 unit at DraftKings

WAS vs DET Prop #2: Daniels Rushing Yards

Under defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn, the Lions play primarily man coverage, which should create many opportunities for Jayden Daniels to make plays off script, particularly when the pocket collapses around him. Detroit was a bottom-three defense in QB rushing yards this season, allowing 454.

Notable dual threat pivots that did work on the Lions include Josh Allen, who had 68 yards on 11 carries and Anthony Richardson who went for 61 on 10 totes. Kyler Murray also put up 45 yards on just five carries.

Daniels on the move has to be in the Commanders’ game plan Saturday.

  • Commanders vs Lions Prop Pick: Daniels Over 55.5 rush yards passes (-115); risk 1 unit at DraftKings

Commanders vs Lions Touchdown Scorer Props

David Montgomery (DET) +500 -155
Amon-Ra St. Brown (DET) +700 -120
Jameson Williams (DET) +9500 +130

Tim Patrick (DET) +2500 +245
Zach Ertz (WAS) +2500 +275
Olamide Zaccheaus (WAS) +3000 +340

Jahmyr Gibbs has been so automatic for the Lions, he’s at a whopping -245 odds to hit the endzone against the Commanders, with David Montgomery (back from a knee injury) and St. Brown both at minus odds.

Terry McLaurin has the best anytime TD odds for the Commanders.

Commanders vs Lions Player Prop #3: Wishing For Williams

Gibbs has scored at least one TD in each of the Lions’ last five games, while Montgomery has at least one major in 10 of his last 11 games. There are two receivers with plus odds to target: McLaurin has scored TDs in six of his last seven, while Jameson Williams has hit paydirt in three of Detroit’s last four games.

Jameson over 2.5 receptions features in John Hyslop’s Commanders vs Lions same-game parlay and he’s my pick to find the end zone in the anytime TD props.

As the Best Commanders prepare to take on the Lions on January 18th, many football fans are looking for ways to spice up their viewing experience. One popular way to do so is by placing player prop bets on the game. Player prop bets allow bettors to wager on specific outcomes involving individual players, such as how many passing yards a quarterback will throw for or how many touchdowns a running back will score.

For the Best Commanders vs Lions game, there are several player prop bets that stand out as particularly intriguing. Here are a few to consider focusing on:

1. Taylor Heinicke Passing Yards: The Best Commanders’ quarterback, Taylor Heinicke, has shown flashes of brilliance this season and has the potential to put up big numbers against the Lions’ defense. Keep an eye on the over/under for Heinicke’s passing yards and consider betting on him to exceed expectations.

2. D’Andre Swift Rushing Yards: On the Lions’ side, running back D’Andre Swift has been a bright spot in an otherwise disappointing season. Swift has the ability to break off big runs and could have a big game against the Best Commanders’ defense. Look for opportunities to bet on Swift surpassing his rushing yardage total.

3. Terry McLaurin Receiving Yards: The Best Commanders’ top wide receiver, Terry McLaurin, is always a threat to make big plays down the field. McLaurin has the speed and skill to exploit the Lions’ secondary and could have a big game receiving yards-wise. Consider betting on McLaurin to have a standout performance in this game.

4. Jared Goff Touchdown Passes: Lions quarterback Jared Goff has had an up-and-down season, but he has shown the ability to find the end zone through the air. Keep an eye on the over/under for Goff’s touchdown passes and consider betting on him to connect with his receivers for multiple scores.
