Just a half-game back of OKC for first-place in the West, the Golden State Warriors (9-2, 3-1 home, 9-2 ATS) finish off a mini two-game home stand on Friday night against the injury-riddled Memphis Grizzlies (7-5, 3-3 away, 7-5 ATS), who are at the tail-end of a three-game west-coast road trip. Memphis and Golden State will tip-off at 7:10 pm PT/10:10 pm ET at the Chase Center, and the comparatively healthy Warriors are big 7.5-point home favorites.
Memphis Grizzlies vs Golden State Warriors Predictions
- Warriors -4.5 (-166) at FanDuel
- Jaren Jackson Jr over 24.5 points (+125) at DraftKings Sascha Paruk’s 2024-25 NBA betting record: 17-16 (+2.33 units). All wagers one unit unless stated otherwise
Memphis has done a nice job of navigating a swath of early-season injuries, including a hip injury to former All-Star Ja Morant (20.6 PPG, 9.1 APG) which has kept him out of the past three games. Missing Morant, Marcus Smart, and Desmond Bane, they put up a good fight against the Lakers last time out, falling 128-123 as 6.5-point road underdogs. Jaren Jackson Jr had a team-high 29 points and seven rebounds in a losing effort.
The Michigan State product has averaged 29.3 PPG in the three games that Morant has missed, including a monstrous 39-point performance against the Wizards on Nov. 8.
He’ll likely see a high degree of usage again tonight with Morant slated to miss his fourth straight game and Desmond Bane (18.8 PPG, 5.4 RPG) and Brandon Clark (5.5 PPG, 3.1 RPG) both questionable. That’s why I’m betting on Jackson having another big night, putting a unit on the Memphis center to score at least 25 points at juicy +125 odds at DraftKings.
But I’m also backing Golden State to cover the alt-spread of -4.5 at -166 odds at FanDuel. The Warriors are an NBA-best 9-2 ATS this season and are coming off a huge comeback win against the reigning Western Conference-champion Dallas Mavericks last time out. Steph Curry had a vintage 36-point, nine-assist performance while leading the Dubs from seven points down in the final four minutes en route to a 120-117 win.
As has been the case throughout Golden State early-season tear, several members of the Warriors’ supporting cast also came up huge. Four other players had at least 11 points, including 16 and 14 off the bench from Jonathan Kuminga and Buddy Hield, respectively.
Golden State demolished Dallas on the glass (50 to 40) and now sit in the top-four in the NBA in both Offensive Rating (118.9, third) and Defensive Rating (108.0, fourth). No other team in the NBA – not even the undefeated Cleveland Cavaliers (13-0) – are in the top four in both categories.
With Memphis at the end of a road trip and missing key bodies, I fully expect Golden State to move into a tie with OKC at the top of the West, though I’m not prepared to lay the full 7.5 points against a defense as good as the Grizzlies’ (109.5 D-Rating, fifth).

Coming his huge 37-point game against Dallas, Curry leads the point totals for Friday’s game at 27.5. Jackson, who I’m betting to go over 24.5 at plus-money, has a standard point total of 22.5 to lead the Grizzlies. The next-highest point total on the board is Kuminga at just 16.5, which is a testament to just how balanced the Golden State offense, in particular, has been this season.
Best Grizzlies vs Warriors Odds

---|---|---|---|
Memphis Grizzlies | +7.5 (-105) at Caesars | +250 at Caesars | Over 235.5 (-110) at ESPN Bet |
Golden State Warriors | -7.5 (-108) at FanDuel | -298 at DraftKings | Under 236.0 (-110) at bet365 |
There isn’t much variety in the Grizzlies vs Warriors odds. The spread is Golden State -7.5 across the board. The best price on the Warriors to cover is -108 and both FanDuel and DraftKings. The best odds on Memphis to cover is -105 at Caesars.
Caesars also has the longest odds on the Memphis moneyline at +250. No other book is north of +240. The best odds on the Golden State moneyline (-298) come from DraftKings.
Friday’s NBA odds show a half-point range in the Memphis/Golden State game total. ESPN Bet and FanDuel have the total at 235.5 with -110 odds both ways, while bet365 and Caesars have it at 236 (O -110/U -110).
The NBA public betting splits are all over the Warriors to win tonight. Despite -300 or shorter at most sportsbooks, Golden State is still getting 96% of moneyline handle. The public slightly favors the Grizzlies to cover the spread, however, putting 52% of ATS handle on Memphis +7.5.
