New Mexico vs Clemson Prediction

New Mexico is by far the hotter team heading into this tournament, and they match up against this Clemson team well. The Lobos are fast and physical which will cause fits for Clemson’s offense. Then New Mexico will have no problem scoring against the Tigers’ defense.

It certainly catches your eye when a No. 11 seed is the favorite in a March Madness game, but this line makes sense. The Lobos should move on to the Round of 32.

Pick: New Mexico -2.5 (-110)

On March 22, the New Mexico Lobos will face off against the Clemson Tigers in a highly anticipated college basketball matchup. Both teams have had successful seasons so far, but only one will come out on top in this game. Let’s take a closer look at the picks, odds, and predictions for this exciting showdown.

The New Mexico Lobos have had a solid season, currently boasting a record of 20-9. Led by head coach Paul Weir, the Lobos have shown they can compete with some of the best teams in the country. Their offense is led by guard Makuach Maluach, who is averaging 14.5 points per game, and forward Rod Brown, who is averaging 11.3 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. The Lobos will need these players to step up and lead the team to victory against Clemson.

On the other side, the Clemson Tigers have also had a successful season, with a record of 17-11. Head coach Brad Brownell has done a great job getting his team to play at a high level, especially on the defensive end. The Tigers are holding opponents to just 64.8 points per game, which ranks them 34th in the country in scoring defense. Offensively, guard Al-Amir Dawes leads the team with 13.0 points per game, while forward PJ Hall is averaging 10.2 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.

As for the odds, most sportsbooks have Clemson listed as the favorite in this matchup. The Tigers are currently favored by around 5 points, with the over/under set at 135 points. This indicates that oddsmakers believe Clemson has a slight edge in this game, but it should be a close contest.

In terms of predictions, this game could go either way. Both teams have shown they are capable of playing at a high level and pulling off upsets. However, I believe that Clemson’s strong defense will be the difference maker in this game. If they can continue to shut down opposing offenses and get key stops when needed, they should be able to come out on top against New Mexico.

Overall, this matchup between New Mexico and Clemson is sure to be an exciting one. With both teams fighting for a win to advance in the tournament, fans can expect a competitive and intense game. It will be interesting to see which team comes out on top and advances to the next round.
