DAL vs BOS Game 5 Injury Reports

The injury reports for Game 5 are identical to Game 4. On the Boston side, only Kristaps Porzingis (leg) is listed as questionable. The Boston center has  sat out the past two games with what’s been described as a “serious” leg injury. Despite the “questionable” designation, it’s unlikely he’ll play again this season.

For Dallas, Luka Doncic (calf/ankle) is listed as “probable” for the fifth straight game in this series. Doncic had a team-high 29 points, five rebounds, and five assists in just 33 minutes on Friday. His relatively low minutes total was motivated far more by the lopsided scoreline than Doncic’s health. He played at least 38 minutes in each of the first three games and at least 37 in every other Dallas playoff game.

NBA player props from DraftKings on June 17.

Doncic has a game-high point total of 32.5 points, a number he has yet to surpass against the stifling Boston defense. He was on track to hit the over last game but head coach Jason Kidd was able to give his star plenty of rest while his Mavericks nursed a massive lead.

Tatum has the highest total for the Celtics, per usual. Tatum led the C’s in scoring last game, but with a stunningly low 15 points during the 38-point defeat.

Dallas Mavericks vs Boston Celtics Prediction for Game 5

Was Friday just an anomalous off night for the Celtics or did the pressure of a close-out game get to Joe Mazzulla’s team? Boston’s four offensive rebounds suggest a lack of effort, while their 29-for-80 performance from the field suggest maybe nerves were a factor.

I expected the Mavericks to get the better of Boston with Porzingis was out. The 7’1 center was a huge difference-maker in the first two games of the series, piling up five blocks in just over 40 minutes against a Dallas group that loves to get to the rim.

The price is right for me to take the Mavs to win Game 5 outright on the road. Even though Boston is a ludicrous 45-6 at home (regular season and playoffs), two of those four losses came in the postseason.

DAL vs BOS Game 5 picks:

  • Mavericks moneyline (+225)
  • Tatum under 27.5 points (-115)

The Dallas Mavericks are set to take on the Boston Celtics in Game 5 of their NBA matchup, and both teams are looking to come out on top in what promises to be an exciting and competitive game. With the series tied at 2-2, this game is crucial for both teams as they look to gain the upper hand and take control of the series.

The Mavericks will be looking to build on their momentum from their Game 4 victory, where they were able to come out on top in a close and hard-fought contest. Luka Doncic has been leading the way for Dallas, averaging 33.5 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 9.3 assists per game in the series. He will be a key player to watch in Game 5 as he looks to continue his stellar play and lead the Mavericks to another victory.

On the other side, the Celtics will be looking to bounce back from their Game 4 loss and regain the lead in the series. Jayson Tatum has been a standout performer for Boston, averaging 28.8 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game in the series. He will be a key player for the Celtics in Game 5 as they look to secure a crucial win on their home court.

In terms of odds, the Mavericks are currently slight favorites to win Game 5, with odds of -120 compared to the Celtics’ odds of +110. This suggests that oddsmakers believe that Dallas has a slightly better chance of coming out on top in this matchup.

As for predictions, this game is shaping up to be a close and competitive contest between two evenly matched teams. Both the Mavericks and Celtics have shown that they have the talent and ability to win games in this series, so it could really go either way. However, with Luka Doncic playing at an MVP level and leading the Mavericks with his exceptional play, they may have a slight edge in Game 5.

In terms of player props, keep an eye on players like Kristaps Porzingis for the Mavericks and Jaylen Brown for the Celtics. Both players have the ability to make a big impact on the game and could be key contributors for their respective teams.

Injuries could also play a factor in this game, with both teams dealing with some key players who are either questionable or out due to injury. For the Mavericks, Maxi Kleber is listed as questionable with an Achilles injury, while for the Celtics, Kemba Walker is listed as questionable with a neck injury. Keep an eye on the injury report leading up to the game for any updates on these players’ statuses.

Overall, Game 5 between the Mavericks and Celtics promises to be an exciting and closely contested matchup. With both teams looking to gain the upper hand in the series, expect a high-intensity game with plenty of drama and excitement. Tune in to see which team comes out on top in this pivotal game.
